I haven't got update since I received the first NOA. My estimated completion time is September (7 months). Baltimore office.

My status did not change, it's still the 'document received'. What I got was a notification of biometric reuse. You can see it in your uploaded documents tab in your uscis account, if you applied yours online. You won't see it if you use the case tracker. Also, they will send you a mail.

My completion time stats last January was also September, now they changed it back to November.

I checked,no update yet. My completition time initially was November 2021, then changed to September 2021. I got excited  when I saw Baltimore office started updating the cases 🙂

Just finished my interview this morning.  Here is a summary:

Got inside the federal building 15 mins ahead of the scheduled time.  Passed security and made it to the 5th floor where is Immigration is.

I placed interview notice in the mail and they asked me to take my temperature and answer yes/no questions regarding COVID19 stuff.

I waited for a good 15 mins before the interview officer called me in.  We started the conversation talking about how cold it is outside (Cleveland is frozen right now).

He asked to see my passports, green card and ID and nothing else (not even the marriage certificate or selective service stuff).  Glanced at them for like 10 seconds and gave them back to me.  He asked to raise my hand to only say the truth.

Asked my full name last name and where I work and study.  Asked me to read "who must pay taxes?" and then asked me to write "everyone must pay taxes".

He then started the civics questions:

What war fought by the US in the 1900s

What war fought by the US in the 1800s

What territory was purchased from the French.

Who is the vice president now

And then the federalist paper question (James Madison).

I don't remember the 6th one.

He said congratulations you passed.  Then, he went through yes/no questions.  Asked me to sign for the oath of allegiance acknowledgment and then sign that everything I said is correct and told me that to expect the oath to be scheduled sometime soon and that I am recommended for approval.

I was outside of the building within 15 mins.  The whole interview took like 13 mins or so!

My online status just changed to recommended for approval and then changed to scheduled for oath.

I love Cleveland Field Office - So fast.

Congratulations! Great news. I have a quick question for you. When the IO asked for an ID, did he specifically say which type of state ID? I still have an out of state Driver's license and debating if I should get that changed before my interview.

Thank you.

He said and I quote: "Let me see your green card, passports, and ID"

I just handed him my driver's license along with my 2 passports and green card.  They did not ask for it anywhere else even when I checked in.  I used my passport for the security people.

I think if you maintained your state residency to qualify for citizenship (which I think 3 months?), you should be fine.

If you are too nervous about it, I'd change it.  It's only $25-$30.

I hope this helped.

Congratulations man! I have a question if you don't mind... My passport is being REALLLLLY delayed in shipping from overseas and I don't think it will make it here on time. Do you think a photocopy would do if I bring the GC and state ID with it?

I think they wanted the passports you used for travels to verify your  entry/exits.  I am not sure if they'll care about a passport you never used.

If you still have any expired passport(s) with visas or stamps, I think you should take them as they will ask for them.

I am not sure what to do if you shipped the expired one(s) along with the renewal application.

If I was you, I'd show some kind of proof that you sent them for renewal purposes and then provide copies.

Thanks for your reply. I will show the tracking being delayed + photocopies of the pages with stamps and such. Congrats again, Ansbekk!

Dont do it. As per the law, for any country, a Passport is a Federal property. It MUST be either with the Federal Agency OR with the OWNER (you) of the passport. No one else should hold it at any time. An Airlines/post office etc on the federal process can hold it.

One should not posses any other's passport without their presence (except for minors, the parent/guardian can posses it).

If you have mentioned that your passport is being shipped from overseas, its a Passport Fraud.

Just do some more research/consult the legal source before you exercise this option.
