Hope there's room enough in there for Boiler (since I quoted him quoting DJTJ) and me, and that it has ESPN+.

We can share my log on.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

When are they going to rename "Girl Scout Cookies"?  They aren't made by girl scouts and don't taste like girl scouts - or so I'm told.

What’s wrong with the word Eskimo?

There exists a scholarly consensus that the word Eskimo etymologically derives from the Innu-aimun (Montagnais) word ayas̆kimew meaning "a person who laces a snowshoe" (an origin proposed by Ives Goddard at the Smithsonian Institution),[23] is related to husky (a breed of dog), and does not have pejorative meaning in origin.[2][24][23][25][23] (The word assime·w means "she laces a snowshoe" in Innu, and Innu language speakers refer to the neighbouring Mi'kmaqpeople using words that sound like eskimo.[26][27])

I have more than one, believe it or not. :)

Ugh, I wish we had more reaction thingies. On FB there's now the "care" one of a smiley hugging a heart, which I mostly use to be facetious and snotty in a good-natured way. I think we need something like a "facetious and snotty in a good-natured way" reaction.

Well bless your heart!

Not really -- although I see how you could get there. It's more like.... I acknowledge as well that this situation is absurd, and that we are writing about it as if it were serious, but we both know it's absurd, so I'll use this reaction (the "care" FB reaction) to pretend I am sending "thoughts and prayers" about this absurd thing. For instance, an article that says something like, "Nationwide Pumpkin Spice Latte Shortage Upends America" would get a "care" reaction.

It's subtle. Maybe it's just my friends and me who use it this way.
