Where were you reading this? If online can you post the link, a lot of misinformation out there.

this may be the OP's concern from EO of 2017 which mostly talks about chain  migration which according to the EO accounts for 60% of green card visas (?????)

Well the US currently favours family and there has been talk for as long as I remember about rebalancing it, Comprehensive Immigration Reform, doubt it will ever happen.

No one knows what the future will bring. Mexico still hasn’t paid for the wall 🤷‍♀️

As always with immigration, as long as you qualify today there is never a need to wait and apply. There is no better time than today.

But, at least the wall is being built!  Everyone doing the process the legal way is welcome.

Too bad the hundreds of thousands a year that overstay their visa won't be affected by a wall but yeah, lets waste tax payers dollars when you said Mexico would pay for it.

I wanted to take a moment to correct a misstatement on this thread.

Quote from  pushbrk:

"You are posting in a spouse visa for spouse of US Citizen forum.  President Trump has not proposed any changes that would impact the immigration of a spouse of any US Citizen."

This is an incorrect statement.

Trump has came out with several proclamations that have impacted immigration of spouses from a list of specific countries.
