It's officially been a year since my last AOS status update. Should I be concerned?

I'm a WA resident, awaiting a green card interview. I had my biometrics etc. over a year ago and today is officially 365 days since my last case status update which still says "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview".

Is this normal? Are things just taking longer because of COVID? I can't work out how to check what the 'current date' of AOS cases being processed is as I can never remember which service centre or whatever mine is being sent to. I think it's the National Benefits Centre in Lee's Summit MO?

Anyway, let me know if anyone has any advice/info on how much longer this might all take.

Thanks.

NBC handles the initial I-485 review + I-131 & I-765. Form there it would be sent to the local field office for an interview.

Filed office lookup (bottom of page): https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-a-uscis-office/field-offices

Processing times: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

If Seattle is your FO, you are a little behind the average but not even near the "case inquiry date".

Note that from around March until recently, most FOs were closed for general services. So interviews were not being conducted excepted as emergencies.

Timelines:

Thanks, so I don't need to worry about checking processing times of the NBC any more, just my local (Seattle) office?

That's good to know they are behind; I'm not desperate for my green card but just wondered as it's the weirdest thing to put your entire life in the hands of some beaurocratic governmental department and then have them not speak to you for over a year....!

Trust me it isn't the weirdest thing the US government can do.

Fortunately you got the EAD so you just get wait and wait for the AOS interview.

Just curious about how early I should apply for EAD renewal given the current situation. Mine is set to expire in 6 months from today.

Of course you have to worry. One year is a lot!

Bless your heart. For some LFOs that's unfortunately nothing
