Ok Im concerned.....If we take the June and July approvals sooo far...the average is ONE approval for every 3.5 days. At THIS rate...based on my being number 58 on the list...it would take them 203 days to get to MY petition. WHAT is going on??? I know they slowed down...but 1 every 3.5 days isn't acceptable.....ANYONE have ANY clues WHEN they may start to actually work on K1's again????? This is depressing me. How is anyone else coping with this???

Whoa!!!

I wonder what is up with VSC. Thys do seem to be a little slow lately. I wonder why. Like I have said before in a previous post, there has to be a more efficient way of doing this. Someone needs to go and do some investigating at the processing centers.

Damn beauraucracy.

So Im not the only one noticing this...but when I look at how FEW have been approved in June AND July and how many we have waiting....I wonder...when will they start processing? I understand they took a hard hit on h1 visas...but isnt' it first come first serve? Shouldn't they have to wait in line with the rest of us? Since when is the family unit less important than a company gaining an employee that they PROBABLY could have filled from HERE with one of our SO's that was already approved and is LOOKING for work. I started this sooo optomistic but now am seeing how the government beaurocracy is playing into it and it seems FAMILIES are LAST on the list. But what CAN we do. We can complain...or we can take ACTION...but how....not even Senators can get informtion...and tell me..what IS wrong with USCIS stating or documenting EXACTLY where in the process our petitons are.....if I call and they are doing MY background check...TELL me thats where it is...not just wait the aloted time and check back. If its SITTING on a desk WAITING to be viewed...TELL me this..THATS easier to handle than NO info at all. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Im going bald

Recently I complained to my senator in an email about the unfairness of putting H1B's first. I got a number and called a knowledgeable staffer who said sometimes they pull adjudicators off one type of case to address another type of case. There is no first come, first served policy; it's ad hoc I guess based on where they perceive a backlog or what USCIS' priority is. She didn't seem eager to help remedy the unfair aspect of it, like it was out of her control (don't senators write laws?).

I know they have recently been bombarded with current H1B visa holders who have been given a special window to apply for greencards. Apparently, the number of these available is usually limited. I think this window was recently closed then reopened until Aug 12 when they complained. Some would be applicants even sent flowers to the head of USCIS.

Anyway, here's hoping this will only last a couple of more days like they say and they'll start churning NOA2's out again to catch up on OUR backlog. :bonk:

We need our loved ones by our side,

Go VSC by your word we abide,

Bring them home so fast and sure,

Make time pass just as a blur,

We need approvals yes indeed,

NOA2's oh yes we do need.

So go on, approve us VSC,

Show us all that you can be.

Bring us answers, fast if you can,

So weddings and babies, we can plan.

The wait is hard, it seems so long,

Just bring our loved ones to where they belong.
