I live in New York. He lives in Germany.

Long story short...I went on a tour of Ireland with a friend. First night (November 5th) went to a landmark pub. He too was visiting Ireland. Met him and sat with his friends... great conversation... the Guiness started to hit me... my friend and i rudely left. He had given me his business card and my friend pushed me to email him when i go back to the States... I emailed him an apology for leaving rudely... and here we are :)

In my case it took 5 or 6 days to cash the check and mail the noa1. so give it a couple of days and see if your check is cashed. that's usually your first indication that they accepted your forms for processing.

While I realized I thought this was actually the July Filers' thread and not the Waiting for NOA2 from VSC thread...

It's been a week and a day since they got my materials, and no check cashed, no NOA1 yet.

I realize I'm not really out of the average wait time (10 days) but still. It's mildly disheartening to see people who got their stuff in after me...and then get their notices BEFORE me.
