seesh. it is such a gamble - who you get on the phone at VSC. today i got one of the

"procedure" ladies giving me the run around and nonsense, and just a week ago

i got the "let me check on that for you, just a sec" lady. bah!

i should probably keep my trap shut, but i end up calmly explaining how flawed the

procedure is and responding to every useless option she tries to give me with an

explanation of how they are completely useless. bah! she tried to tell me to write

a letter, and i told her i never revieved a hard copy of my NOA1 and had serious

doubts that would ever recieve any kind of response to a letter.

on the other hand, maybe i SHOULD borrow wiombeen's MO, he seemed to get

approval pretty quick after that letter went out ;)

but DESPITE this, i feel optomistic about it all too:) the helpful last week said my case

was out for security checks after an initial review. that's gotta mean it's moving along, eh?

deep breaths and focus...come on good news for all!

4/17 NOA1 (VSC)

7/03 Touched (updated mailing address)

7/07 Touched (progress?)

7/31 NOA2

8/06 Left NVC for Prague (!!!)

hey thanks, sparrow. it's now day 105...seems like it can't really go on much

longer, right? it's really uncomfortable having *waiting* being such

a huge part of every day.

kinda feeling helpless. but also working hard to keep the ultimate

goal in mind.

hope you all are feeling strong . i think i will compose a letter. im not

sure if i will send it or exactly what i will say yet, but i think i will

feel better...and right now anything that makes me feel not os helplessr

is worth a try

Here are some more Visa Journey VSC statistics that might help spot trends.

Remember that these statistics only reflect Visa Journey Members and the sample size may be too small to be statistically relevant.

Any statisticians in the house who could provide some input?

This table lays out well in my Internet Explorer. Hopefully it will do the same in your browser. If not, please let me know.

VISA JOURNEY VSC SUMMARY STATS

As of 7/31/07

K1
	  Applications NOA2's Avg Days NOA1 to NOA2
Jan 24 23 18
Feb 37 35 23
Mar 44 41 31
Apr 35 21 49
May 35 5 31
Jun 30 0 NA
Jul 31 0 NA

K3
	  Applications NOA2's Avg Days NOA1 to NOA2
Jan 8 8 72
Feb 13 10 58
Mar 17 9 92
Apr 09 1 93
May 1 0 NA
Jun 10 0 NA
Jul 0 0 NA

Conclusions:

  • K1 applications are processed much faster than K3's.
  • So far there is no evidence of a rush of applications from Visa Journey members to beat the fee increase.
  • Processing times have been increasing significantly since January, 2007. K3 applications submitted in February are the only exception to this.
  • So far May's processing times are shorter than April's, but it may be too soon to make any conclusions about May.
