Who else has signed and why does so much racism emanate from California?

 

 

The Trader Joe’s branding is racist because it exoticizes other cultures - it presents “Joe” as the default “normal” and the other characters falling outside of it - they are “Arabian Joe,” “Trader José,” and “Trader Joe San.” The book, White Shadows in the South Seas is racist because it perpetuates the myth of the “white god” and the “noble savage” stereotypes. It becomes even more racist in context because the founder of Trader Joe's said that he was inspired by this book in some way when creating his company, a book which shows traders’ exotification of non-Western peoples turned into violent exploitation and destruction. The Disney Jungle Cruise is racist because it displays caricatures of non-Western peoples alongside exotic animals, as an attraction at a theme park to be gawked at.

It's dumb, and it sounds like a lot of white people have a lot of time on their hands to worry about stuff like this instead of the hard stuff like, you know, systemic racism.

 

I'm more pleased that Planned Parenthood is removing Margaret Sanger's name from their Manhattan health center. That should have happened years and years ago.

I was just watching a little of the movie, which ironically features white shame. Just not enough for the modern era, apparently.

Progressive Parents Disappointed In How White Their Children Are

 

PORTLAND, OR—John and Julie Newman are dedicated progressives, active in every cause and contributing regularly to Black Lives Matter. Despite this, their children, Cayden and Evergreen, have turned out wrong. “They’re just so white,” explained Julie, not hiding her disappointment. “I don’t know what we did wrong.”

John and Julie are trying to make a better world, and part of that is battling white supremacy and whiteness in general. Their kids, though, just seem to be furthering that problem. “When I think of their future,” John said, “I see them excelling in exciting careers -- which is horrible, because they’re white and need to leave those opportunities for others.”

“Do they understand that they’re part of the problem?” Julie asked. “No. They don’t care. They just want to play with their Tonka trucks. That’s white privilege right there.”

John and Julie aren’t sure what to do. So far all their lectures on being anti-racist are losing out to episodes of Paw Patrol. “We want to love them,” Julie said. “But loving white children sounds like something white supremacists would do.”

I think George Carlin adequately covered my own personal disdain for this toxic virtue signaling bourgeois liberal trying to inflict the moronic idea of white self-hatred on others. I'm never going to hate or berate myself for being white no matter how much these (overwhelmingly white) nut jobs try. White people have historic flaws like others do that necessitate learning from and not repeating, but if they were that bad, circa 21st century, people of color wouldn't be flocking to such an awful white supremacist nation to live. 

 

The idea of white self hatred has existed since I've been alive but its never been more weaponized than now. Is the idea to facilitate white pride? We know from history what happens when people single out a demographic and treat them as inherent criminals or as subhuman, over and over, from blacks, to women, to gays. People caught up in their little whirlwind of irrationality tend to miss the bigger picture.. I spent years trying to tell conservatives if they don't like homosexuality the worst thing to do is go this far out of their way to help solidify a victimized identity of them through actual systematic discrimination. They couldn't see it then and they're reaping the rewards now with pride, rainbow flags in their faces, and so on. The dumbest thing to do if one doesn't see a point in white pride is to go the same route. 

 

I don't believe the fact that I live in a multiracial family and have created my own little multiracial family with my wife makes me better or worse than anyone else, all it can serve is a good view of how what's separated us nowadays isn't race anymore but class and culture. The idea of going back to racialized justice is extremely dangerous and can only help incite racial division when it was at its lowest (best) point in our nation's history. Who might want to cause that? 🤔

My Grandparents were certainly of the left my Parents as well, I am known here to be certainly not in the ditch, but to to the left of the MOR.

I certainly can agree with that.  Let’s say Extreme Leftist/Progressives.  Can you imagine what the media coverage would be if it was extreme Right folks setting up autonomous zones, or attacking police.
