Critical mission interview not happening

I thought US govt gave clearance for embassy to start critical mission visa interview. I don’t expect to see 100s visa interview to reschedule happen, but I don’t see things moving. 

 

does this mean, whatever US Govt says,  Embassy would ignore that? I understand if covid is dangerous in one country to hold interviews, they won’t . I see things are reopening and getting better elsewhere except US. Why am I not seeing reschedule of interviews which were cancelled in Mar.

 

Majority  of the people seem to be just waiting.

I would assume that consulates have some discretion as to when they will open up and to what degree.

They didn’t make that clear in their announcement. Closest thing I could read if was if local resources allow. Currently my consular office is doing emergency interviews only. (New born, or children turning 2)

Not every embassy has announced that they are currently doing this. I’m fact most are still closed and on,y providing emergency services to US Citizens.

not true. Embassy are open. My consular office scheduled interview for F2A on emergency visa.  Even when it’s BAN. Others was Schedule are CR1 category.

it’s not, but CR1. They didn’t define critical mission as emergency. But I know emergency cases takes priority over critical. Which are CR1/IR1 . There can’t be 1000s emergency cases that I’m at bottom of the list.

it’s not, but CR1. They didn’t define critical mission as emergency. But I know emergency cases takes priority over critical. Which are CR1/IR1 . There can’t be 1000s emergency cases that I’m at bottom of the list. 

If all embassy’s are open Can you please show me how to get an interview for Port au Prince? Because everywhere I look they are closed...

They are closed doesn’t mean all are closed. This week London embassy sent out IL as an example

No Kidding- I said most embassies are still closed and you replied with “embassy’s are open”

If you want to be so technical. I repeat, embassy are open. They are just not holding Routing visas. Shutting down embassy completely  doesn’t help anyone

Probably because they can't. Not enough resources of one kind, or another.

It does, because it helps to prevent spread of the virus. Most embassies are closed. Just because they're sending interview letters it doesn't mean they're open -interview letters have a future date, and even that is subject to change. Your case is not critical.
