Be sure you're not leaving any sections of your #immigration form blank, unless that section is optional. This includes your middle name, gender & marital status. You can mark them as “none" or “N/A" but don't leave them empty. More filing tips: via https://www.uscis.gov/forms/forms-information/form-filing-tips

For people who don't have middle names, you can also use "---" and it works.

i know these tips have been around forever like the poster above said. don't get me wrong, this is definitely helpful. however, with this said, this guidance has always been confusing / tricky to me. i fill out everything that needs to be filled out but i always get stuck in places where it asks for children's name / preparer's name / dates etc. i don't have children, i don't use a third party to prepare my forms...but in my mind, if I put None or N/A in those spaces what if they interpret that "None" as being the name of my (non-existent) child? We are foreigners after all, what if "No-ne" is a common name in the country where you are from? Also, some fields require a number or are date fields and you cannot really type text in there. This is just me though, lol. Kudos to you all who do not get sucked into the overthinking rabbit hole that is filling out USCIS forms.  😬

Had a client that lost their passports and needed to get a Boarding Foil for their child that had no middle name.   Boarding Foil listed was Lastname, Firstname None.

US born guy that works for me also has no middle name.   His passport and birth certificate lists his middle name as NMN = no middle name.

My Filipino wife has two first names and no middle name . . . well in the US she just split them up after I told her she could use NMN.
