Australians Waiting For Interview at US Consulate Sydney

Hello All

 

I thought I would make a Thread for Australian's who have their CASE COMPLETE at NVC and are waiting for an Interview to be scheduled at the US Consulate in Sydney! 

 

It might make it easy for us to keep in touch and update each other! 

 

I hope this is OK 🐨

 

We were DQ'd this morning so we will be waiting a while lol

We got approved for an expedite today at the Sydney Consulate. I will update when we get an interview date.

Congrats on DQ 🤩 we still haven’t heard anything about appointment with DQ back on Anzac Day.. still haven’t heard anything from AOS either, so might fly back for it if they get in first, that’s if I can find a flight under 10k 😂

Not the same but am waiting for an interview in Auckland I dont think there is very many NZers on here but hopefully they go along with OZ!

oh congrats! Keep us updated! Can I ask on what basis? If you don’t want to share publicly,  could you DM?

ah New Zealand is basically another state of Australia 😝 Welcome! When did you DQ?

@zochu Emotional and financial hardship. I'm an essential worker and have had to take some time off work to care for my mental health and to help my daughter with distance learning due to school closures in my area. I included a doctor's note stating that I have anxiety, a letter of employment and a notice of the school closures as proof

We're also waiting on an interview in Auckland! Got DQ back on 14 March.

I submitted a request to the Sydney Consulate over the weekend and am hoping and praying that they are able to request the file from the NVC and send it out with all your paperwork too.... Mine is a K-1 approved petition at the NVC just waiting to get sent out.  I have everything else ready to go. 🙏

We submitted the request May 27th and were approved on June 2nd. No word about an interview date yet.
