Embassy Reopen

Dear All,

 

Did any one had any idea when US embassy Islamabad will resume the visa service. I heard Embassies are getting reopening like in Japan, Paris  London, Lebanon etc.

That's the $64,000 question that everyone keeps asking.  When they announce it we will all know.

 

Routine Consular Services:

As of March 17, the United States Embassy and Consulates in Pakistan canceled all routine consular services, including all visa services and routine services to U.S. citizens. We will resume routine services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time.

"You heard" where? Just yesterday the Embassy in Japan issued a note saying they are still not resuming services.

What does it say on the website?  That is the only legitimate place for you to get information on reopening.

The only way you can find out is on the country Embassy website. Each embassy is different. It must abide by that countries government instructions.  My embassy which is in Jordan, has not given a definitive date but most businesses will be opening next week as part of phase 4 so chances are the embassy were open as well.  Same may apply for yours.

Our stepchildren petitions are now documentarily approved and en queue for an interview. Now it a waiting game as to when the embassies reopen.  Ours is in Santo Domingo, DR.

I’ve heard they’re supposed to resume either the 3rd or 4th of June but who knows 😤
