Welcome aboard.

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will only prepare you for your interview. But don't forget to stick around this thread to share your thoughts and experiences. We look forward to your involvement. Good luck and stay engaged.

Does the USCIS ever send out notifications via email?  Almost everyone in this thread received theirs via text.  But for me, since I live out of the country, I only provided my email address, and haven't received an email yet.  My CC was charged for $535 on June 24th.

If they took your money you are good.  It does take a couple of weeks to receive the Noa1 in the mail

They always send you a hardcopy in the snail mail. USCIS is notorious about not sending an email notification even with a G-1145. Most don't receive an email but it's not typical not to receive a NOA1 or NOA2 by snail mail so keep an eye out for those. BTW you do not need a the NOA's for any part of any process moving forward so don't go crazy trying to figure out why you didn't receive one.

Finally submitted after proposing back in Feb in Vietnam. June 26th. Largest part was 3 years of chats. Tried to slim that part down but still about 20 pages. Shouldn't hurt though I hope.

Good luck all!

Welcome to the thread.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

@Dr. Bob - my partner and I (Australian) also live out of the country (Canada) and we received our receipt number etc via email, no text, almost two weeks ago. Still no paper copy in the mail though although everything seems to be moving extremely slowly at the moment!

Hi, I have a question about the payment. When I received my text the money was taken out of my account, but after a couple days I checked again and it seemed like the money wasn't taken out and only says "check converted ACH." Is this normal?

Yes. That is normal. It was drafted not using the paper check but electronically and the paper check is evidence that it was a bonafide transaction to have been made.
