  1. Agreed. I feel I could have gotten the visas for the ports but never got to that point. Should have done that before but it's just so weak an excuse. Thanks for the empathy guys mostly wanted to post as I saw older posts have success and wanted to warn others.
  2. Stops were Mexico, Honduras, and Belize. However it was denied not for that but for possible denial on reentry into the US.
  3. Don't take a Princess cruise (ft Lauderdale) on a i-512 AP and work authorization. It doesn't work. We researched a lot about the CBP and the port of entry before going to try a cruise. Ideally we should have had the green card by now but still waiting... We booked a Princess cruise and was told via travel broker and cruise agent that it's approved, as well as previous posts here showed acceptable. So we were not surprised when they went to the manager to double check the approval or contact CBP, but was surprised to find they said that an AP is not approved to travel. Cruise was denied because of incomplete documents. The thing is, there isn't any other documents that can be had, right? Just the green card which we all have to wait for. Just annoyed I'm told it's not approved travel when it's literally designed for that. What's the point of that document if not to travel?
  4. Just saying thanks despite the old post as I can't find any new cruise experiences either positive or negative. Will be going with the combo card and a VN passport with my wife to those exact countries, but will try and re-verify at the port and by phone again prior to be safe.
  5. Thanks! I know I haven't waited long enough, but seeing others who haven't for around 12 months, and seeing others processed in less than 6 is just crazy. I mean like you said it is what it is atm... which is and always has been a ####### shoot. Thanks for the lockbox info. That's good to know... though depressing considering it's one of the longest processing times. If we do get the EAD and travel authorization at least I guess that will be ok. FYI on the EAD, not for anyone here exactly: https://www.uscis.gov/newsroom/news-releases/uscis-increases-automatic-extension-period-of-work-permits-for-certain-applicants
  6. When I checked timelines for both Employment Auth and AOS, I don't see anything from Phoenix since July. Surely someone has some updates that are more recent? It makes me wonder what's going on there, or if there are more political issues causing these delays? I thought the auto-renewal of Employment authorization would help clear the queue so they can get to our papers. I'm also confused about AOS since I thought there were only 3-4 places we can even send our AOS. I'm in Utah and it said to send to AZ, but I see the timelines show just about every state. Is this just user error or something I'm missing. Thanks! FYI: Filed in Jan, 2022 and "actively reviewed" since April. Nothing since.
  7. Hey I was just checking here for the same thing! No movement. Working now to get a job offer to see if we can expedite work authorization at least! It's been "actively reviewing" since April... The timelines for AOS or Work auth seems much more iffy here compared to the K1, so it's hard to know what's going on or if our group is coming up soon.
  8. https://thehill.com/news/administration/3475522-feds-extend-work-permits-for-hundreds-of-thousands-of-immigrants/ Has anyone seen this impact them? This is an extension, so not sure how it applies to those waiting for a green card off a K1...
  9. Hi, We are still pending green card status updates, and filed the travel authorization too. Biometrics done. The concern is we have a cruise planned to Alaska, but it has one day spent in Canada. Should we work to get a visa for her (from Vietnam) to Canada? Or should we stay on the boat that day as this could cause issues with the green card status/travel authorization later on? Or worse yet is the whole cruise a potential problem? Thanks!
