Thanks for sharing! I watched the video that they pulled the quotes from and the ambassador implied that visa services will resume in phase 3 of the DOS reopening plan. Hoping that's not true because that requires quite a bit to be open, including land borders, but it's nice to hear something.

Case Inquiry Response: July 24th 2019 - in line for processing.

Escalated Case Inquiry: August 6th 2019 - tier 2 found that internal status was "in background check" despite results coming back 4 months prior.

Escalated Case Inquiry Response: August 7th 2019 - case was "delayed" because they had to "perform additional review" 🙄 case now with an officer.

NVC Received: September 13th 2019

Someone in the Canada FB group called them. They are technically open, but they're not scheduling any interviews for June, and couldn't say when they're going to start again.

 

When they do, I'm sure it's gonna be rescheduling the cancelled people first, then by date recieved since they closed in March, soooo it's gonna be awhile.

Very slowly though, only for us citizens. Not for visa services yet, but it does say that they are slowly working torwards opening regulas services. I hope it opens up for everyone, this wait has been draining on all of us.

I've got until September 1st at my job, so I can wait a little longer. I can't leave before then anyway.

We actually think that we are Lucky if we have an interview by the end of this year.. i hope you get lucky enough to get it around that time.
