Hello everyone!

Right now our case in NVC , we should upload all documents that NVC ask for .

My question is what should we do when we know that my wife's incomes isn't enough ?

We need a co-sponsor or join sponsor what what exactly we have to do .

We already have her sister but right this moment we really don't know what exactly should file and follow .

Do we need to file both forms I-864 and I-864ez , then all the request documents ... ????

Or we should only file her sister form I-864 with her sister request documents and my wife taxes ?

Please we are still looking no help .

Cheers !

Your wife will always be the main sponsor, no going around that. Everything that I-864 requires needs to be submitted even if she doesn’t make enough.

Her sister can be the co-sponsor - same process with I-864.

So in this case , my wife needs to file I864 with the documents required .

Then we add joint sponsor that is her sister with a form I-864a .

Then we submit them in NVC ???

The joint sponsor had to fill out their own I864 with all the supporting documents.  If your wife’s sister has a spouse and they file joint taxes, then your wife’s sister’s spouse will fill out the I864a.

Good Luck!

Let's not confuse people further by using the wrong terminology.  There are no "co-sponsors" in immigrant visa cases.  The sister will be a "Joint Sponsor".  If the sister is married, her spouse will be the joint sponsor's household member and provide an I-864a.

Yes, the joint sponsor's spouse.  Sister is joint sponsor.

The applicant is always the sponsor and will complete I-864.

The sister will be the Joint Sponsor and complete an I-864 if she lives outside the applicants home. If the Joint Sponsor is married and files Joint with her spouse, her spouse will complete I-864a.

Sponsor:

I-864

Tax Return and W-2 or Tax Transcript for most recent tax year.

Joint Sponsor and Spouse:

I-864

I-864a

Tax Return and W-2 or Tax Transcript for most recent tax year.

Evidence of Legal Status of Joint Sponsor

In this situation also assets will be good, if your wife has assets like house, car, money in her bank account etc. would make your case stronger.

Only a second car or equity in a second home would be helpful.  It's "liquid" assets that improve the financial picture in this context.  Check USCIS's definition of "liquid".  Consular officers use the same definition.  Primary residence and only car are meaningless in THIS context.

My fiancé doesn’t have a job currently but he owns 2 houses and 1 car and 6 times more poverty guidelines cash in his bank account and our lawyer told us we don’t need to worry his assets is going to be enough for him to sponsor me.
I let them know just in case if they have liquid assets and they didn’t know it was effective for their situation.

But you listed first and second, house and car which are non liquid assets.  Those don't help.  In your fiance's situation the car and first house are not considered, but the equity in the second house and the cash in the bank would be.  Details matter.

No, but the OP asked for helpful opinions.  I corrected your misleading response, in behalf of the OP.  If you want to help, post information that helps.
