Comments : It was a smooth entry. They made me wait for 1 hour in the immigration office room at the port of entry and the police officer asked where will I stay in the U.S and our planned wedding date. After that he let me in the country. Just waiting in that room was a little bit of nervous but it wasn’t so bad.

Embassy Review : The interview was so relaxing and easy. Officer asked me a couple questions such as
How/where/when did you meet?
Which city will you be living in the states?
Do you have any specific plan for the wedding?

And I was apporoved. The interview itself took approximately 5 minutes.
Rating : Very Good

Have you recieved any NVC updates?like case number? Are you even tried to get?
Burcin & Chris on 2020-03-02 said:
we did not receive any update yet, i think it is early to call for case number. Next week we probably start calling NVC.
Siggy on 2020-03-02 said:
Yes I feel the same.. I was just curious to know if you have tried. We are just waiting to cross least two weeks...
Siggy on 2020-03-05 said:
hmm, it looks like its more difficult to wait for NVC to get Case number:-) for USICS at least we had number to check status.
Burcin & Chris on 2020-03-10 said:
We never called NVC, my fiance thought it was early to call but my fiance received an email by NVC with our case number and it says it is on the way to Ankara,Turkey :) So even if you dont call them they contact with you with your case number...

So excited to see you got your approval and the packet arrived to the consulate! Our interview would have been tomorrow, but it was cancelled. We were so close!! Stay safe guys through all this! Hopefully the embassies will open back up soon and we can get our interviews!

Ohh Willie,it’s been long time no talk. I’m so sorry to hear that Hamza’s interview was cancelled. Our case was ready at embassy last week but couldn’t book appointment because embassy is closed due to corona. Yes hopefully it will be open soon and life will be back to normal again :)

Hello, I see you interview is in Ankara. I want to transfer my case to Turkey, can I choose the Istanbul consulate? Or only the consulate in Ankara process k1 visas?
Burcin & Chris on 2021-01-14 said:
As far as I know, only U.S Embassy in Ankara process K1 visa in Turkey.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
