A federal judge on Sunday ruled that it was unlawful to appoint Ken Cuccinelli, an immigration hardliner chosen by President Donald Trump, to lead the agency responsible for processing US immigration requests.

Cuccinelli's appointment violated a statute that governs how most federal vacancies are filled, according to the ruling. As a result, the judge invalidated a set of US asylum policies for the asylum seekers who are part of the case.

I saw this yesterday on the Reddit Immigration page and they were all happy as get out saying this "invalidates his two main directives". All the while I am sitting here thinking "Do you not think that they will just appoint someone new who will just sign on to them?"

BTW my wife can not wait to vote for Trump in November she is literally chomping at the bit.

All kidding aside, why do you think so many people from a common background that while not socialist, certainly smacks of oppression and government corruption, are supporting Trump now that they are in the US?

Hmmmmm......

Because they're from places that suck and idolize the American dream? Meanwhile people who come from first world countries that experience healthcare, workers rights, subsidized schooling, maternity rights, prescription caps, the list goes on, support more liberal candidates. Might be because... hmm... they're good systems?

I am sure your wife is perfectly capable of independent and critical thinking, but, very likely, the environment will eventually cause some influence on a person's views.

Sure....but my wife has the canny ability to analyze all sides of an issue before making a decision...She is the wisest, most logical person whom I have ever known....🙂

Yes, I married up.....as we say in the south.

My ex-husband is a SUPER Trump supporter, firmly on the Trump train. He even brainwashed my liberal dad! But it had zero effect on me. You should have seen his reaction when he found out the cold I claimed to have that prevented me from accompanying him to an inaugural ball was made up, and I was actually in LA going on the Women's March!

I can laugh about it now (thankfully) but that was one of the last straws for him. I was never going to conform to what he expected me to be like, never going to support Trump, never going to be more than polite to his fellow supporters when we went to fundraisers. (I went to these things because I was trying to be a good wife.) I'm not saying other people's partners are merely being polite, just that was my own experience.

My wife plainly doesn't like how she feels that Illegals are catered to more than Legal Immigrants
