The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced Wednesday that it created a new section in its Office of Immigration Litigation dedicated to denaturalizing foreign-born citizens referred to it by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The move has been described by the department as an effort to "bring justice to terrorists, war criminals, sex offenders, and other fraudsters who illegally obtained naturalization."

In order to denaturalize a U.S. citizen, the DOJ must prove that their citizenship was "illegally procured" through fraud in their application. The DOJ said a "growing number of referrals" from law enforcement agencies led to the creation of the section.

The announcement also comes the same week the administration's "public charge" rule takes effect.

One of reasons they ask those silly questions on the visa/naturalization forms about being a terrorist, criminal background, nazi ect. Sure If you are one of these they know you will lie about it and cook your own goose for misrepresentation if they catch it down the road.

Hmong Leaders Rally Against Trump Administration Deportation Push

https://www.npr.org/2020/02/24/808071758/hmong-leaders-rally-against-trump-administration-deportation-push

There are about 300,000 Hmong people in the U.S., and most are citizens, either because their status as refugees allowed them to become naturalized or because they are part of generations who were born here.

But some are green card holders — legal permanent residents, but not citizens. An estimated 4,500 of these people have deportation orders against them, usually because they have been convicted of a crime. Those deportation orders can stay in effect for decades, even after these individuals have served their time.

Hmong have generally been protected from deportation in the past because the government of Laos wouldn't accept most U.S. deportees. According to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement report, there were five deportations to Laos in the last fiscal year.

That sub is a big cluster to say the least. Which is sad because it has a lot of potential to say the least. But as of right now there is only 1 Mod that is somewhat active in the sub, and the other two haven't signed on to Reddit in over 10 months. There was a big hubbub about 11 months ago when the Mod flat out said that she has a lot going on due to job and a kid so she was accepting applications but nothing ever came from it.

I got banned because someone just posted an article and we were discussing it like I would on here, and I guess they don't like my tone in regards to illegal immigration. But I legitimately did help people out everyday over there.

I tend to stay away from the black hole of the politics sub

you mean several presidents have done that? so he is acting on precedent?

This administration is not doing something novel, it is just preparing, as stated several times my Stephen Miller to scale up and weaponize the law.

The whole pretense about this administration being against illegal immigrantion is now being dropped, the real goal is stopping or reversing legal immigration.

enforcing the law is enforcing the law not weaponizing it ,,, if I disagree with Mr Miller you consider me wrong or am I still entitled to my opinion
