Good day all.....as we prepare to do our K1 petition my fiancée (US citizen) think it's not important to mention the date we met because of concern that it might raise a red flag since we met in august and got engaged in November the month in which she paid me a surprise visit (almost died😵) so I'm asking this is mentioning the length of time we together important....advice on how to proceed will be greatly appreciated....thanks much

Don't overthink this process. You must be honest in your dates and your information you provide. If discovered you have not be forthcoming then you stand to be denied. It's best to get off to a good start.

While the uscis won't care about the length of the relationship, it will likely be a question at time of interview,  so be accurate

Hi. It is very important that you include pictures, chats, screenshots of the first time you both met. If your application is missing these documents it will cause delays or for them to request further proof of relationship. You would need to have met in person within the two years before your filing date and they will want proof of that.

Hope this helps!!

are chats required?   if you have airline tickets hotel receipts from 6 trips to visit the partner and 20 pictures together would you still need any chat logs?

I didn't put the online interactions in my proofs! Just Photos of us, airline tickets, hotels, passports stamps and some letters we sent to each others

No you don't need the chat logs as long as you have real photos and other physical proofs. Honestly a chat log can be photoshoped it's not a real proof...

No, chats are not required.  Neither are photos, except for the required passport style photos.

This type of front-loading is not “required,” and often adding loads of unasked for items actually causes the delays and RFEs.

If the beneficiary is from a high-fraud, high-risk country, such front-loading may be warranted.

It actually is not.  The requirement is to have met once during the immediate two years.  USCIS adjudicators have no way to confirm when a photo was taken, or who is in it.

Photos are considered to be secondary evidence.  Primary evidence is passport stamps and boarding passes.

Oh about the 2 years. Yes it is true; but at least to show it's a real relationship. I was just saying this from a human point of view and not from their administrative requirements.

Yes, passport stamps do help. Just stating from my personal case. and yeah photos taken on your phone do have time stamps, just have to know how to print it with them on it.

You can attached as much proof as you like. additional chat logs with dates can be sent also as well as things that show it is a real relationship.

Timestamps can be photoshopped.  Again, photos are secondary evidence.
