I'm confused, so NVC will ask me to submit documents for them to review before they book me an interview? I can't just go ahead and book it myself and pay since I already filled out the DS-160 and have a case number?

Go to ustraveldocs.gov and begin your interview scheduling. K-1's do their own scheduling.

Just received P3 from the embassy!

i have a question though. I have asked several indonesians here that have gone through the K1 visa process. And most said that i need to do the medical check up prior to making an interview appointment. But from this website https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/JAK-Jakarta.html#med_exam_instructions it says that i need to bring my visa interview appointment letter during medical examination. doesn't that mean i need to make an appointment with the embassy before i can go for my medical check up?

What jumps out at me is the fact that the information is in RED text which tells me it's paramount that you do as the instructions says. Most medical exam facilities require an appointment letter so I'd recommend that you make your appointment for the interview and then the medical. Bring the appointment letter with you to the exam. Be sure to schedule far enough from your medical to your interview that your exam results will be ready or there will be a delay in the issuance of your visa.

Also, can you share a copy of the P3 letter that you received for your interview preparations. I'll send you a PM with my email address. Thanks.

Now let's go get the visa and keep your life moving forward.

Weird, they add people all the time. I'll ask the mod about it.

Hey @Zaraliaya my fiancé is also going through the Montreal embassy. Can you send me a link to that Facebook group too? Thanks!

Anyone in this group had their interviews canceled yet due to the travel ban? Seen it around a few other places.
I am hoping my case still ships out from the NVC on Tuesday as scheduled and after that I am not sure. Hopefully Australia just flies under the radar for now. If we get a ban I understand as it is to keep people -like my own fiance- safe but I don't want to play the whole will my visa expire game tbh.

Why are you waiting for the NVC number. If you have your MNL# for the Philippines interview, then it's rock and roll time. Follow the steps on @Hank_ website for step by step instructions. Your wasting time.
