I feel extremely sorry for your situation. I do not know why things can not be smooth when it comes to process. There always has to be some stress

We sell on Amazon and that's what we do whenever there's something wrong with one of our packages.

My husband went to the post office to inquire and they did the GPS coordinates thing and apparently it was delivered to an entirely different street (!!!) but the same house number....

 

I guess they're going to look into this and try to find it. No idea how long this will take. 😵

UPDATE: It was delivered! Whew....going to the post office and talking with people directly really helped! We got the old style passport and my husband is really happy about it, haha.

does the package needs to be signed? Or they just drop it to the entrance?

Just got the passport book delivered in the mailbox.

 

Timeline so far for my family (expedited service):

Passport appl. submitted with USPS: Aug 09

Status changes to In Process: Aug 12

Money order cashed: Aug 12

Status changed to approved on Aug 25

Passport book delivered on Aug 27

There was no signature confirmation. It was just shipped usual express, no extra services were added. I don't get why they don't just add signature confirmation, it would cost them basically nothing to add that... 🙄

Awesome, glad it worked. We have done this exact thing so many times, it's amazing how much info they have in their systems. 

Great feeling it wasn't stolen or forever lost in other ways, seems like it was a quick recovery. 👍

Has happened to me a couple of times with Usps priority stuff, usually turns up in a day.

Mine starts with 42. Filed Aug 11, expedited. Still in process.

I've noticed that tends to happen with larger pieces of mail. Seems like it doesn't fit in the scanner the use for informed delivery.

Yes - there has been some debate on this forum earlier whether this message shows up when the certificates get sent back. Some have said they don’t get the message and others do.

So far, just the passport book. Still waiting on passport card and naturalization certificate.
