Yup. The ones most affected by it is the persom who was already making a higher wage and now arent. I dont have to give anyone a raise who's making over the minimum. But as someone who's been at the bottom,  I know how annoying it is to have the new people make the same amount or more than my hardwork has earned me.  The people who this really affects is the ones already making $15 or $16.  Because by 2022 the idea is to have Denver minimum wage at $15.87. They will only get their normal raises or no raise at all until then. 

It's not a living wage when inflation happens.  

It's also weird that one city can have a higher wage than other cities.

I don't think until this month I realized how exhausting being an adult actually is.

 

We moved into our house now three weeks ago. We don't have much stuff but there are three boxes that still need to be taken care of. Mostly, its picture frames that I just don't have the motivation to put up after I get home from work. Or do anything with. Tonight my mom is coming over and helping me start to strip wallpaper in the room we are going to use as the baby's nursery officially kicking off home renovations. My husband's car is going to the garage on Friday to get maintenance done so I will be working from home part of next week as he uses my car to get to work. On Saturday and Sunday we will only have one car to coordinate a part exchange to Ikea, him going to work both days, grocery shopping, and other various errands that will need to be done.

 

I need a nap.

We have found & hired somebody to removed the diseased sweetgum/gumball (not maple) tree at the rental casa, hire we for tree man.

 

Tree was declining visibly over the years, die man.  When we last went into the back yard, rotten branches were all over the ground with some impaled in it, safety hazard man.  Most of these broke or shattered in our hand, goner tree man.

 

The hired outfit wanted $Many, whereas everyone else wanted $Many or even more, big difference man.  As an experienced Business Typhoon, we opted to pay $Many rather than $Many, clear choice man.

 

We had previously removed a couple of sick maples from our actual casa, de-tree man.  Unsure why they were planted at all when maples do poorly here and do much better up north, perplexing man.
