My fiance has her interview scheduled for the US Embassy in Manila, PH and we are seeking suggestions for a place to stay that is very near the Embassy at a fair price point.

I like the Red Planet Manila Bay. It is about 100 yards directly across from the USEM.

Prices vary on occupancy and run from 1000 to 2200 peso, It is newly renovated and has American features like : Split type air con, Fridge, hair dryer, safe, kettle for coffee, large CR with American style toilet and shower with overhead rain head and free soap and shampoo and conditioner.

There is a sari sari store as soon as you exit building on the right side which has ice cold water and soft drinks, etc.  Don't use the sari sari store on the left they will charge you long nose prices.

There are dozens and dozen other hotels in all prices ranges all around the USEM, No need to book a hotel if you don't want to, you can walk to and check them out and find what you like and suits your price range.

"LONG NOSE" Really?  You should really be careful with your comments! Wouldn't a better description be maybe something like "HIGHER PRICES"

My fiancee and I really like Bayview Park Hotel, right across Roxas Blvd from the embassy.  She's tried a few different hotels near St. Luke's, and Bayview provides great quality for the price (typically around $65 USD per night).

Please check out my music video for "Bright Side of the World", the song I wrote for my fiancee. You can watch the video on YouTube here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKu3SvqCBfg

Thanks for listening! :)

Rizal Park Hotel. It's on the same side of Roxas as the embassy and less than a 5 minute walk. Less the $100 a night and a rooftop bar. Can't recommend enough. I think you can find it for $75 on some sites. If you must budget, Airbnb a condo.

Wow!  I like your suggestion even better than I like my suggestion!  :D  Might have to choose that one for our interview!  It does cost more than Bayview, but I like the fact that it's on the same side of Roxas as the embassy.  Looks super nice, too.

During the week it's around $50. I didn't realize it was so inexpensive. I stayed there two nights on a weekend. Quiet and easy to get to. Ocean Park, Rizal Park, Intramurus all within walking distance. If you like malling, Robinson Manila is less than 100 php grab away. i recommend to everyone. They should comp me a room.

We stayed at Robinson Place Residences. 5-10 minute walk to the embassy. A little pricey but the condo was huge. The boss likes to cook when I am there. Private entrance to the connected mall. Just google hotel us embassy Manila and dozens of options will pop up on the map....

Not a newbie but lost my old info years ago) I have been through this process before --all the way through naturalization-- This site has always been a great help to me.

Thank you to all that replied. we were able to book the Casa Bocobo Hotel.  I am very thankful to this community, as it has truly helped us through the process.

My Fiance has a busy two weeks week ahead, Med Exam, CFO and her interview on Oct 24th.    In addition, I will be flying into Manila to meet her on November 1st and them we will be spending 3 weeks with our family.  We are hoping that she will be able to fly back to New York CIty with me on November 24th and we will be able to marry in December....

I know she is a little stressed..   Keep us in your prayers brothers and sisters...

Sending prayers and positive thoughts your way for everything to go perfectly smoothly for the two of you and that you'll be married in December as planned!

All the best to you both!

Isn't that the same thing??  😄

There's the long and narrow price..then the flat and wide price..what you pay sometimes depends on that alone.
