could anyone ballpark how long this will delay the new forms from being brought back into play ?

a general estimate would be great, are we looking at days, weeks, months ?

I am wondering myself also.  We need to send in our AOS, but can't do so until after her medical appointment which is unfortunately Oct 16th.  It looks like under the USCIS website, it removed the new forms with delays from the court ruling, so I guess stick to the old forms?

Why do you need to wait till the medical appointment? You can submit your file without it and bring medical to the interview

You are correct; I should be able to use her previous medical examination in place of the I-693 since it is within 1 year of the exam and there wasn't any issues.

Even if a new medical exam is required (you're not doing AOS from a visa type where you had a medical overseas, or you had missing vaccinations or otherwise needed to do a medical in the US) you don't need to include the I-693 with your I-485 application. You can wait until shortly before your interview to do the exam and take the form with you (and it's better to do this, because exams have an expiration date and sometimes it takes a long time to get an interview).

you scared me to death as we have GC interview tomorrow and I thought I'd have to do a new 864 tonight.  The link on the USCIS site says that the current 864 is valid for the time being.  Phew.

I found a link to the I-944 draft, and I am amazed at that form.  First of all it seems like a child wrote most of it, and secondly, the amount of information they ask for, like credit scores, is ludicrous.  I hope the courts keep their injunction and ruling as this is just taking the piss.

Here's a link if anyone else wants a gander, since it's not on their site anymore.

I-944 draft form

I think most of the I-944 won't apply to new immigrants to be honest. I.e. credit and debt.
