That can be the result. There are cases of people who admitted to trying it once years ago and did not get a ban.

I’m saying it’s wild cause if you tried it when you were a teenager 25 years ago it’s a little silly to be delayed for such a thing Especially when it’s becoming legal in some states.

Not necessarily ..  I know of many that admitted to smoking pot during the medical, like you said "tried i out", they were not denied the visa, they were not banned for a few months .. zero, nada    Sort of depends on the embassy as to how they react.

Seems the embassy did not care about your pot smoking.   That statement relates  to the financial support evidence.     Interesting ...
