In addition to the W2s and 1099s, you do need a copy of the return. It's preferred you use the corresponding tax transcripts, though. Then, you only need a W2 if the joint sponsor filed jointly.

If you're planning on having any proof of current income, paystubs can double as proof of domicile.

Can I fill out ds260 right after paying fees or do I have to wait 72hours?

You have to wait til it shows paid for the fees. It usually takes 2-3 days to process.

How do I scan my marriage certificate and make sure that it is right side up when opening it?  Each time I open it, it opens up horizontal and not vertical?  Please help.

Also, do I just copy my husbands passport foto on a sheet of paper, scan, upload and send?

Will each document need to be scanned seperate?  And how do I make sure that when I upload it, its opened the right way when they get it?  Sorry for so many questions.

Hi! Some of these questions are technical that have to do with your scanner/computer so I can't help with those. But for the passport, you can just put it on a sheet of paper and take a high quality photo. MAKE SURE THE TEXT READS ACROSS THE PAGE. (As in, you do not have to turn the page to read the text). You will get vertical items sent back to you. We lost a month for this for my husband's passport. Yes, you will need each document scanned separately. You can download what you have uploaded and see what it looks like before you submit the documents.
