Hi VJ Friends-

I was curious about how people feel regarding the pleading of Joe Giudice's wife and daughters for his deportation to be stopped.  There is a process to follow to prevent deportation isn't there? I think that there are some waivers for extreme hardship if he is deported and ban from the US, shouldn't he have to file those just like anyone else does and can they do it here or does it have to be done after he is deported?  Is there a waiver to prevent deportation while he is here? Is that what his attorneys are appealing?  Somehow the pleas to our President irk me.  Why shouldn't he have to handle this the same way any of us would have to if we were in this situation? I am sure that many, many people here no matter what their case is about whether a delay, a denial, a deportation order want the President to intervene. What do you think makes this family believe they are special in this situation? He is a criminal and has been convicted of a "Crime of Moral Turpitude." Many of our Visa Journey family don't even have an extreme issue such as this, yet are waiting for our "good moral character" family members to just get here.   I don't know why this has been on my mind but I was just wondering how others feel after I read yet another article.........

Long story short.................

Apparently he appeared on one of the reality shows called the "Real Housewives of NJ" with his wife and family.  Being from NJ I had seen a few episodes and have to say it was not a good representation of NJ. Aside from that his wife was also arrested, convicted and spent time in prison for the crimes as well. Teresa the wife is a US Citizen and he is a permanent resident since childhood.  Apparently he never became a citizen and is going to be deported.  His family is vying for special consideration from President Trump to prevent his deportation.

I am indifferent, while I think he is getting his just rewards for his choices but if I could appeal to the president, I would. I would be more upset if Trump intervened than the family pursuing his stay

I agree as a family member I would pursue as many avenues as I can.  I think the possibility of President Trump getting involved  is what is irking me.  I am afraid he will because he has intervened in other areas of the justice system.  I don't recall the full situation but I think that he pardoned someone by the recommendation and active interest of Kim Kardashian😲

I remember reading or seeing something about this couple, I do not recollect anything positive and for some reason thought he had been deported. Seems no reason his family can not join him.

I completely agree.  Why do they think they are special.....we all are and most would probably consider relocating

I am not surprised to hear that they would be involved in other illegal activities. All of the Housewives shows share what a trainwreck someone's life can be!
