I was thinking the same.. Did you have your biometrics in Dallas or San Antonio? And what is your current status on the case? :)

We had his appt in San Antonio since we live here but the ASC is way across town from the actual local office.

Our status has shown "Fingerprint Fee Received" since the same day they received it. I don't think this office updates the system on a timely basis -_-

Not sure what mine is yet, will have to wait for the letter.

Was yours a request for initial evidence or a request for additional evidence?

I called today as it was the expiry of my 30days service request. I was told nothing had been done and they will raise another service request. Obviously not happy I requested a call back from a tier 2 which I have just taken.

My biometrics hasnt been sent yet, they couldnt tell me why but will look into this.

Whilst I was on they told me that my RFE was for a missing affidavit of support. Frustrating because this was definately sent (I have a copy of everything that was posted) but an easy fix. I was told this shouldn't effect my biometrics or my EAD card by 'much'.

Still, a little progress and at least I know someone is at least looking at it

So the RFIE and No Biometrics will not affect the rest of the process? It’ll take me more time to comply with RFIE because obviously my husband needs to work on his taxes first. Just got done with my Driver License application unfortunately they had to verify my lawful presence with SAVE again just like my SSN. I’m wondering if the pending RFIE is going to affect my DL too. Lost my faith in biometrics appointment 😂 I am not looking forward to it anymore. I’m so done!! I don’t wanna talk to them. 😂😂😂 It’s just frustrating!!!

USCIS sent me RFIE. They want me to send I-130A and original copy of birth certificate (Apparently, they are not satisfied with English original copy of birth certificate. They want to see a Chinese original copy too.) No Biometrics notice still.

Initial evidence. The one I submitted was Tax Return of 2017.

What is the difference between additional evidence and initial evidence? They sent me a request for initial evidence yesterday.

Well the day my service request expires I wake up this morning to a request for evidence. Not sure what it could be, we were incredibly thorough with our application. Seems convienant but will have to wait again for the request for evidence.

Any one else experienced the same?

What do they need for your RFE?

Does anyone know of any sample letters on expediting an ead due to death?  My husbands father passed away suddenly due to cancer and we requested for an expedite because his mother is not able to financially take care of the home on her own and she is also sick and they are awaiting biopsy results. His son's mother in the Dominican is not working and is now pregnant by her husband who is also not working. Do we need a elongated letter explaining this or can we just send the death certificate and a few bullet points of how this is affecting us financially?  Please help as I am loss on how to write this letter to USCIS.

If it's true, it's VERY good news lol Dallas and Houston are so backed up I'm frankly surprised San Antonio isn't but with the changes happening soon and relocation of cases from busy offices, I think we may be facing those longer wait times here shortly also. 😕

Ugh I just got off the phone with USCIS and they confirmed my interviews is going to be held in Dallas. The closest office is San Antonio but since the mailing address I use is closer to Dallas, it’s going to be Dallas. Welp... at least he said my case is moving forward surprisingly fast and it might mean that the interview is going to be scheduled soon as well. But we’ll see.. :)
