We got our NOA 1 April 18

It makes me feel excited and nervous seeing the updates and happy to see NOA 2 is starting to start to those who file almost same time as ours, hope to get a good news soon. Good luck everyone😊

The PSA in the Philippines is notorious for misspellings and missing information on birth certificates. You should look over your BC to make sure everything is correct as well as your passport. Now is the time to get that corrected. You might want to get a copy of your NBI to see if there are any problems with it. It was just recently that a member had issues with their NBI and now are on a delay because of it after their interview. From the link below you can find the thread. Again, now is a better time to get it corrected if you find something wrong. Be sure to use all your AKA's when they do the search. Make sure your passport doesn't expire any time before a year from now as this is a long process and you could be running around getting a new one at the last minute. So get it renewed if it is expiring in 2019.

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will only prepare you for your interview.

Thank you, yes I did. I had my PSA BC ready and you're right I requested for an NBI clearance already and they found some problems so I'll be back again after 2 weeks to have it cleared for whatever problem they saw, good thing I have it done early so I still have more time to process it, thank you so much for all the information you shared.😊

Hey fellow April filers!

It's been a week now and pixie dust has started to settle. Wanted to share with you all that I got engaged a week ago in NYC AND... little did I know my NOA2 arrived on 27th June! None of the sites updated yet, so long overdue! I had no idea I was approved until my fiance handed me the piece of paper, it was all part of the very romantic and planned proposal.

So what I want you all to take from this, is KEEP the faith! this was approved MUCH faster than I anticipated and sometimes good old fashioned paper is better relied upon than technology! I am sure there will be so many more to come soon!

gx

what a proposal!!! congraz!!

Hi all!

I'm a tad confused... My US fiancé posted our application and received a text to state it was received dated 8th April. We had to wait a couple of months to receive the NOA1 due to the area he living in having VERY poor postal service (lots of snow and backlogs). We finally received our NOA1 on June 16th.

I've looked on the case tracker and it's stating "Case Received June 6th". I'm slightly confused about this as we got the text on 8th April and I'm worried we've now lost 2 months of waiting. I'm also slightly perplexed as to how this happened?

I realise this is in the April thread and shouldn't be. For 4 months now I've believed I was an April filer and now I'm a bit lost on where I'm supposed to be altogether!!

The date on the actual NOA1 is the official date.

The NOA2 is taking 3 to 4 months currently.  So sometime toward the end of August you should hear something.  Your progressing normally and no your not delayed by 2 months. You can be in any thread you want.
