Question for @Greenbaum (My apologies in advance :D ) or anyone else who knows what they're talking about:

Our mothers MAIDEN names are on the I-129F instead of their current surnames. Now apparently that wasn't a problem for USCIS since we have our NOA2, NVC case number and according to DHL tracking our case is at the embassy in Frankfurt already & ceac status is ready.. But since this question is coming up in the DS-160 again, I need some advice on what's my best option now:

1. Do I put my mums current surname in the DS-160 and leave the I-129F with the maiden name as it is? (So basically ignore the mistake)?

2. Do I put my mums current surname in the DS-160 and try to contact the embassy to let them know that there's a mistake in the I-129F?

3. Do I put my mums maiden name in the DS-160 so it matches the name in the I-129F (So I'd just go with the original mistake for the sake of consistency)?

Posting this here since it might be relevant for someone else who's had questionable advice from that infamous visa agency that apparently INSISTS on using the maiden name.. ;)

If you bring it to their attention you leave yourself open to further scrutiny and the possibility that it's sent back. I think you let sleeping dogs lie. You can excuse this away as not sure what was needed.

Damn... There's a shipment going to Austria but I have no idea if it's ours. The website still says it's at NVC but I also know there are VERY few people applying from Austria so I'm thinking that it COULD be ours... What a gamble! X3

Thought your case number was assigned just yesterday. So far no cases with a number assigned after last tuesday/ wednesday made it 😕

Thank you! My thoughts exactly, not going to contact them. Would you personally stick to the maiden names or go for surnames for the DS-160?

Thanks for your help, really appreciate it.

I first noticed today but when you track your case, right under the status it shows the date when your case was created and the number assigned.

Uhmm I've been tracking my case via https://ceac.state.gov/ but I don't see anything like that on it. I used to see a date on the app but it doesn't allow me to track my stuff there anymore. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? ;/

Maybe it's only doing that since my status went to ready today. That would explain why I didnt noticed it before. Sorry

I'd keep all the names the same from document to document except where specifically it ask for a maiden name. I don't think that it does anywhere so i believe your safe. Why raise a red flag now.

Good afternoon, I already have the NCV case number. I need you to help me because when I try to send the passport copy it says that I already registered, but that happened two years ago when I applied for a tourist visa and they denied it to me.  now I do not remember the day or the month that I went to ask for what I can do, I need help.

I am in the process of k1
