I called this morning and nice lady said it would be another week.

Thanks so much for this info! We got our NOA2 on the 5th Feb and we are so happy we are on this boat! Yayyy!

Thanks to @Greenbaum for all the details!  Am I in the right when I assume that once we call in and get the MNL# i can proceed with all the scheduling of:

  1. the SLEC Medical
  2. Interview
  3. CFO?

I look forward to your advice!

Thanks!

Thanks to @Greenbaum for all the details!  Am I in the right when I assume that once we call in and get the MNL# i can proceed with all the scheduling of:

  1. the SLEC Medical SLEC wants the NVC letter or the embassy email that containes the MNL# to do your medical
  2. Interview  You can pay your interview fee but it advisable to wait to schedule the interview until your case in CEAC is set to "ready".
  3. CFO? Yes

I look forward to your advice!

Thanks!

I hope this helps.

Hello everyone! I tried to update my email on the NVC site after getting the NOA2.

However, I made a typo on the name of my fiancé (petitioner) I added an extra “e” on his name. Will that be bad or it’s ok?

I try not to overthink anything it’s just that I want to make sure I didn’t make anything wrong.

Thank you in advance for anyone’s feedback.

You can always send a new request to change the email with correct spelling. I remember making a typo in my online form and just sending a new one as soon as i realized what happened. It was my email I misspelled though.

Has anyone managed to ask the NVC for their embassy case number via email instead of over the phone? It would make life easier haha :D

I filled out Ask NVC form yesterday https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html

I've read here on VJ that it takes  about a week to get an answer. So we'll see :)

Some times they do but you will get a mailed copy of the case number so that should make your life easier.

By the time the correction reaches NVC your file will be on the way to USEM. At the interview you can correct any errors. CO's are ask all the time and no it's not bad. Be sure the DS-160 and I-134 has the correct spelling.

Do you have to go to the bank for the bank statement? Or you can just print it from your online access ?

I printed off statements from online and had no problems. Your mileage may vary.
