They were only good for 1 year unless it was done on or after 11/1/18.

There is also something about the civil physician signing and 60 days. That confuses me.

The case status gets updated, the notice needs to be printed & stuffed, then it needs to go through the mail room. Then actual mailing time. In my experience this is about a week end to end, but YMMV. Don't worry about missing it for at least a couple weeks. Nothing works quickly with USCIS.

My understanding is that if your case has an active G-28 on file, the attorney should get a notice as well.

How long are that G-28 valid for?

I want to be over prepared and front load my documents. I even know which suit and tie I will wear LOL. My lawyer will also be at the interview. My AOS is not based on marriage.

Notification came 5 days later so it says 5 days ago on 1/23/19 when I got it. I never withdraw G-28 so it is valid I assume?

My lawyer told me to wait for me to redo my medical until I get my interview notice. Many here also gave same advice. I heard that my June 2017 I-693 might be valid still if it was submitted 60 days or earlier to USCIS?

I am seeing that most get it within a week from the case update. Another issue is that isn’t my interview day scheduled 30 days from 1/18/19? I will need time to prepare for my  interview. Do I need to re-do my I-693 Medical examination? It was done in June 2017.

Don't redo your medical yet. Your medical has to be valid at time of applying for AOSIt's not our fault that USCIS has such a long processing time right now. Take the print of the USCIS website where it states that, I've seen some stories on here where people were RFE'd at the interview for medical, handed them the print and got approved without new medical. It's a waste of your money if they don't want a new one. Worst case scenario you do get an RFE on the spot, get your medical redone and a decision will be made soon after.

If you did it in June 2017, you need a new one.

After November 2018, I-693 is valid for two years as long as you completed it 60 days or less before submitting the AOS forms. Basically, a person can't do the medical on February 1 and submit their AOS on April 30 with that medical, it won't be valid for two years. You could do it at most 60 days before submitting, or anytime after.

This unfortunately doesn't apply to you because it was done in 2017. Get a new one now.

My interview was scheduled 1.5 months out from when I got the online update, and I got the letter in the mail 2 weeks after it was scheduled. I called USCIS to ask, and they said that when the interview is scheduled more than a month in advance, they usually send the notice out later, not right away. Not sure if true, but I got the mail notice right about one month before the interview date so it seems to check out.

I don’t want to be RFE’ed only to delay the decision of my AOS. That delay takes months I heard. I see that some IO ask for it and some don’t.

Looks like I will get my interview notice today according to USPS informed delivery.

It is coming from NBC and inside looks like white color.

Do you all think this is it or something else?
