Hello. My I-485 case was updated on 1/18/19 (Friday) to ‘Interview Was Scheduled’ but I have not received any interview notice.

Houston Field Office.

Was it mailed last Friday, Saturday or Tuesday? MLK was a Holiday.  I do not see anything in my USPS Informed Delivery account as of today.

Could my lawyer recieve the interview notice?

It usually takes ~7-10 days to receive mailed notices from USCIS through the mail. Your lawyer will also have been sent a copy.

7-10 business days or straight days?

Not counting Saturday/Sunday and MLK holiday?

My RFIE was quicker though.

Are they mailed out the same day the case is updated which was 1/18/19? I got the notification 5 days later on the Case Tracker though.

I think it's within a few days, usually. Not necessarily the same day.

The case status gets updated, the notice needs to be printed & stuffed, then it needs to go through the mail room. Then actual mailing time. In my experience this is about a week end to end, but YMMV. Don't worry about missing it for at least a couple weeks. Nothing works quickly with USCIS.

My understanding is that if your case has an active G-28 on file, the attorney should get a notice as well.

I am seeing that most get it within a week from the case update. Another issue is that isn’t my interview day scheduled 30 days from 1/18/19? I will need time to prepare for my  interview. Do I need to re-do my I-693 Medical examination? It was done in June 2017.

If you complete it then you're good to go.

Edit: i saw that you done your medical june 2017 then you really need to do your medical because it was expired june 2018 but if you already did your I693 recently then youre good to go
