K1 Visa Approved LND & 18th of January 2019

Hey Everyone.

 

I would just like to thank everyone who has helped me and my fiancé through this process. 

 

I had my interview on the 18th Jan 2019. The interviews went straight forward and the woman interviewing congratulated me and approved the Visa. It's kind of a blur as I was very excited but I believe she said I will receive my visa in the next 7- 10 working days. 

 

I wasn't handed any kind of slips or anything.  

 

I have just checked both the site where you book the interview and the page CEAC. 

 

The interview status says: appointment 

And the CEAC says: Ready (last updated on the 18th Jan) 

 

I'm not worried or anything but I'm just wondering if I should be expecting for this to change to issued?  And if so how long will it take.

Congratulations! Currently, you're going under AP--don't worry, that is normal. It could be any day now. There is no timeline for AP. Just sit back and relax. It will be issued soon. :)

Yes, the status will change to "Issued".

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

August 7, 2022: Wife filed N-400 Online under 5 year rule.

November 10, 2022: Received "Interview is scheduled" letter.

December 12, 2022:  Received email from Dallas office informing me (spouse) to be there for combo interview.

December 14, 2022: Combo Interview for I-751 and N-400 Conducted.

January 26, 2023: Wife's Oath Ceremony completed at the Plano Event Center, Plano, Texas!!!😁

February 6, 2023: Wife's Passport Application submitted in Dallas, Texas.

March 21, 2023:   Wife's Passport Delivered!!!!

May 15, 2023 (about):  Naturalization Certificate returned from Passport agency!!

 

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Not right away. A lot of things still happen before it changes to "Issued". They still have to do lots of paperwork, print the visa, quality control the visa, ....

 

It will change to "Issued" once the visa is printed and affixed to your passport.

 

Note: it might change to "AP"  a day or two before it turns to "Issued". No need to be alarmed.

Thanks guys!   Just checked again and it's updated to today's date 23rd January and still status is still ready. so I presume someone's touched it today but it's not complete? 

 

 :)

 

I'm confident it will come in time.  I've booked a flight for the 15th February and my wedding is on the 22nd of February. SO EXCITED! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
