Year 2019

January 7 - Called to request expedite.

January 8 - Received email with necessary info.

January 16 - Got a notification. Site says 'New Card is being produced'.

It's pretty cool where they give you a tracking number and an ETA.

This is great. Congratulations! Why did you have to wait so long so submit the expidite request? Or did the job offer only happen at that point?

I WAS THINKING WE WERE GONNA BE LUCKY WHEN IT COMES TO AOS. UNFORTUNATELY LIKE OUR K1 EXPERIENCE, WE WERE JUST 'OKAY' AND NOT FAST AT ALL SO AFTER THREE MONTHS MY HUSBAND STARTED GETTING BORED HENCE DECIDED IT'S TIME TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT INSTEAD OF WAITING FOR GC.

So he got a company to say they will hire him when the AOS comes? I am just asking because I would like to do the same and am not sure what to saw to an employer when applying for jobs?

Yes, as soon as the EAD arrives he can start working. Tell the company your honest situation and they have to give you a job offer for you to send.

Did you call USCIS directly? Do you think a job offer letter would be enough for them?

Yes, we called USCIS. Yes Job Offer is enough. Once you received the email they sent, include:

1. Cover Letter

2. Job Offer

3. Copy of Email they sent

Wait for about a week and hopefully you'll see on the site 'New Card is being Produced'.

Request Regarding: TAxxxxxxxxxxxxx (insert your i-765 case #)

Dear USCIS Team,

Please find attached requested proof of my active job offer to give weight to my request to expedite my i-765 Application for Employment document.

I would very much appreciate the opportunity to expedite this case under financial hardship, which will allow me to commence this role and become an immediate tax-paying member of American society, and in doing so, alleviate the financial burden of single income on my spouse.

Yours Sincerely,

This is rare cases that they got expedited because of a job offer letter and extremely lucky if this is the case. There is an EAD expedite topic here there is people that lost their job with real health problems and they havent gotten their cards expedited. It all depends from the person who will review you case. Expediting because of job offer isn't an emergency.
