hey @Greenbaum what that 01 BMB stands for after case number ... just noticed it today... i know BMB stands for bombay but what that 01 stands for.. any one else had same with status.. please help

Of course someone else has that status. There are over 8 million visa's handed out each year, the odds are more then you have received such a note.

It's something new that has popped up when there is only a K1 involved. Years past there was only the one case number. If you have K2's on the application then there approval will be mom's case number and hers will be 01 and the first K2 is 02 and the third 03 so on and so forth.

So if none of the conditions are similar to yours, just ignore the 01 and don't use it to search for anything because you will get an error every time.

@ujones Apologies for the late reply. Congrats on the visa!!!! Finally done with this part!

Have a question for anyone that can help----I understand that I don't need to go through a medical test again since it is within 1 year--but to confirm, I would a civil surgeon to still certify and mail in  the I-693 along with the adjustment packet?

I also did not receive a copy of medical since it was mailed and had to be given to the USCIS directly---I have emailed the hospital to get the records. Is that enough to send in? Thanks!

@AAAA27, my fiancé has his vaccination record with him. Is that the same as I-693?

If you have children, then you are assigned a case number “01”, and your children are assigned “02”, “03” and so on.

Hey Guys,

After waiting for 3 months for AP, finally we received a mailed with all the documents back and letter to submit the passport.

I submitted the passport last Monday in Mumbai. It's been over a week yet no visa issued. Date changed 2 times so far but they haven't issued the visa yet.

I know it rained a lot in Mumbai last week and they limited their work and Thursday they were closed due to 4th of July but I saw other people got their visa issued.

What could be the reason I still didn't get the visa issue? Anyone with similar experience?

Are they going to ask for more documents(New PCC)? I am getting worried because it's been more than a week now.

Thanks

Yes, others have had a similar experience. With AP updating 2x's that is an excellent indicator. Your just about there, have a little more patience and you should see issue and then the visa in your hands.

But I have seen people usually get issued after updating 2x. I don’t know why it is not the case for me.

Do you know if anyone gone through same thing and they were asked to submit additional documents or am I just getting worried for no reason?

You are over reacting.  Reread what I said as it was very positive.  I could lie and make up stuff if that make you feel better. Just give some more time and stop comparing yourself to others! Oy vey!

It's not about you making up stuff and lying what will make me feel better. I have seen people getting a second 221g after submitting their passports.

As far as comparing myself to others is because I know someone who went through same process and he got issued in 4 days after submitting his passport. In my case it's been over a week that's why I am worried/panic.

Anyways thank you for your positive words.

I never said people don't get a second RFE but it's as rare as you getting bitten by a polar bear where live. Everything about this process is not the same for everyone. Everyone comes from a different country, different families, different cities, different schools, different jobs and there is more but it all gets reviewed and acted upon when submitted to USCIS, NVC, and the embassy and that is in a different different city as well.  See a pattern yet? Even from reading this thread you can't name one identical case. If you think you can then prove me wrong but until  then I still believe you are very close to getting your visa. Good luck.

Every case is different & every officer handling the case is different. So all you can do at this point is to patiently wait. I know this is the most difficult wait but you will get there
