Yall, I got my NOA1 in the mail and they got my fiance's name and his date of birth wrong. I just got off the phone with the customer service line and they said it may take up to 30 days to change.... WTH??

It won't take that long. I sent in an email that my fiance's name was wrong. Within one hour it was corrected and I received an email. I already have the new NOA1. I see your fiance is 9ja... welcome!

Hi. It's me again, I saw in one post before about the use of form G-1145. I asked my fiance to ask the lawyer if he included this in our packet and he said no because this is not required. My question is, how can we get an update from USCIS since we don't have this this form in our packet? TIA

Don't worry about the 1145. It's rare that you are not notified by other means, mail being one. No it's not required but it's stupid for the lawyer not to include it. Just :bonk:. Lawyers Oy Vey! You'll get a NOA1, NOA2 and case number email from NVC and you can check CEAC for case travel and embassy receipt. See the information on the first page of this thread for further details of how you can be involved. Kick the lawyer to the curb. :ranting:

Hi. Few minutes ago I received this mail. They received our packet already. Can I consider this is NOA1 already? If not, hopefully they will notify us thru mail.

No that is a confirmation notice from USPS that they delivered your package. Your NOA1 will come in a normal see through envelope and contain a letter announcing your approval.

Hi guys! I was given a 221g last jan. 24 and my status is adminstrative process. I just received a letter just now stating that i need to deliver my paasport to the usem. Does it mean they are going to approve my visa?

Hello everyone. Was browsing around online and happened upon this forum. Seems like a great resource and I'd love to join the community. NOA1 states that our packet was received on January 18th. I'll be patiently waiting alongside all of you.

Welcome. Looks like our packets were picked up the same day. Have you gotten your noa1 in the mail yet? I'm still waiting on mine but I received the text a couple weeks ago.

Yes, I received a text message and then received the official notice in the mail the following week.

Please update your timeline
It is difficult to know exactly what you are talking about.

It sounds like you already completed the petition process at USCIS was was put on AP at the embassy level
If they ask you to bring your passport, it could mean anything, including approval. Bring your passport as requested and please keep us posted on what happens.
