Hi guys! My fiancé and I are currently assembling our i-129f packet. I was wondering a few things:

1. I have yet to ask my previous employer what my start and end dates were, but I have an estimate. Will we get an RFE if this info is wrong, as in, a few days off the exact dates? Is USCIS going to check accuracy with my previous company?

2. My home address doesn't have an Apt. Or Ste. Or Flr.; instead, I live in an exclusive subdivision. Can I just type that onto the space provided for the aforementioned, without selecting any of those check boxes?

3. I am not comfortable leaving items blank. Is it alright to place "N/A" and "None" as per form instructions for all info that don't apply? For instance, we aren't using an interpreter, so I was thinking to place N/A on all items under that section instead of leaving them empty. Is this okay?

My questions are probably too technical, silly or unverifiable, but I thought I'd like to hear any input on these anyway. I'll probably have more silly questions as I and my beloved go along the process. Please forgive me. 😂 I appreciate any help.

Thank you and good luck to everyone!

If a line doesn't pertain to you then answer with N/A.

1. They are very unlikely to check with the company, instead they run background check, and seeing how it matches. Understand the purpose of these questions is not to entrap you, or catch you in a lie buy more easily identify that you is indeed you during the background checks.

2. I do not technically live in Apt either, but Apt was closest they had to matching my dwelling type. I am not quite sure what "exclusive subdivision" is, or what the address format for it. Look at any official mail you get W-2 maybe, or electric bills, what address specified there? Use that, do not overthink it too much.

3. I think N/A and None are fine, they show you reviewed it. I left them blank, and that was also fine for me.

Good luck!

Congrats please continue to increase your knowledge and read and browse through other areas of the forum. Hope your journey is smooth and quick.

Thank you! Today they withdrew the $535 from my account so at least I know they've received it! I'm sure the 6-8 months of waiting will be hard, but right now I'm so excited about this step! :)

Thank you so much! Just for added info, subdivisions here in the Philippines are quite like those in the US, probably patterned after them, except they're not necessarily government housing development but rather privately owned land subdivided into individual residential lots: a gated community or neighborhood with its own organized member association. Perhaps I will select "Apt." too because it is closest, and then maybe mention it on our cover letter for clarification...

Oh, I see, I didn't realize you were beneficiary. Good new though, there are more people from Philippines than any other country, or multiple countries combined going through this process. So whatever questions you have, some here will know answer for sure

Yes I am the beneficiary, apologies for the confusion. I'm just very hands-on with helping my fiancé assemble the packet. 😊 Very interesting info by the way! I never knew Filipinos were so involved in the process.

Here is an interesting article on address's in the PI https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postal_addresses_in_the_Philippines

Be aware that the PSA in the Philippines is notorious for misspellings and missing information on birth certificates. You should look over your BC to make sure everything is correct as well as your passport. Now is the time to get that corrected. You might want to get a copy of your NBI to see if there are any problems with it. Again, now is a better time to get it corrected if you find something wrong. Be sure to use all your AKA's when they do the search. Make sure your passport doesn't expire any time before a year from now as this is a long process and you could be running around getting a new one at the last minute. So get it renewed if it is expiring in 2019.

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will only prepare you for your interview.

Thank you very much for this. I've double and triple checked my information, and I am holding off on getting my NBI because it only has a 6-month validity from acquisition.

I appreciate you providing the link for an appropriate forum. 😊

Yes you will need your NBI for the interview phase, but I was under the impression the NBI is good for a year. My fiancee just renewed hers and it's good for a year.
