What happened to the 10 bux?    And GB may ask for his money, because with regard to this question, I think it's going to depend on the medical facility and how quickly they can get it done.  Better have him call the medical facility and find out if they can complete the work and provide the required documents in time for that interview date.

If you read the following post, I worked it out so it wouldn't matter 😂 also, I had a credit for one stupid question, so if that counts, it counts 😂

No okay, so his flight would land in Boston and then connect to Cleveland. But there's only 2 hours of a layover. So how does that work?

I think most people advise at least a 3 hour layover at the first stop when arriving on a K-1 if your POE is not your final destination.

Though some quick poking around online shows a direct from Reykjavik to Detroit on WOW 4 days a week, which is about a 3-hour drive from Akron.

That's to close to your next flight. Min should be 4 hours. If you have to go into secondary screening at immigration it could be an hour to 2 hour wait.

A lot of countries have less then stellar PO. The Philippines that I am familiar with is worthless. I only recommend valuable document that absolutly need to be there for the interview is sent by currier like DHL, FedEx etc. Not much you can do because it's pretty much out of USPS's hands and is not the responsibility of the receiving country's process.

and opposite to Thailand.   Customs tends to screen courier deliveries, while USPS stuff slides right thru !

Okay so even if I book it through one airline's website, he'll have to go through that process in Boston, not when he reaches his final destination.

.....unless he connects through Dublin.   Then he'll clear immigration there.

Or airport with pre-clearance, though it seems unlikely he'd end up making a connection in Canada (and extremely unlikely he'd go through Ireland or Dubai).

This is just ridiculous lol. I don't know how we're going to do this exactly.

LOL............plan for the first location in the US.   Dublin, Abu Dhabi and a few other highly unlikely choices for Iceland have "pre-clearance" where you clear immigration in those countries.   Don't worry about that........figure on first landing location.

The issue is the flight schedule with my work schedule. He's likely going to need to land in Boston. But I need his final flight to land after 5pm and preferably before midnight since I can't miss work at all for the first 6 weeks of training.

Detroit is a smooth airport to go through immigration. I really like that airport and fly through there when I can..

Not a newbie but lost my old info years ago) I have been through this process before --all the way through naturalization-- This site has always been a great help to me.

That’s what Usps told me is it’s possibly sitting in Honduras waiting to go through customs... do you or anyone else know if something is airmailed does it go straight there to that country?? Or stop in other countries first?
