Democratic Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez revealed this weekend that she has no idea what the three branches of the U.S. government are during a conference call with prospective far-left political candidates.

"If we work our butts off to make sure that we take back all three chambers of Congress — uh, rather, all three chambers of government: the presidency, the Senate, and the House," Ocasio-Cortez said on Saturday while on a call with Justice Democrats.

The three branches, not chambers, of the U.S. government, are the executive, legislative, and judicial.

I think we need to make allowances, she is not very bright.

but it's only because she was never allowed to play on a level playing field, she is female, not taken seriously, Hispanic, forced to deal in 2 languages and overcome of Xenophobia... I think she deserves Kudos for overcoming our blatant racism, even if Hispanic is an ethnicity nor a race

In fairness, if we made a list of all the politicians on both sides of the aisle, it's likely we could work our way a long way down that list before we would find a handful that actually know or care what they are supposed to be doing.

Agreed, just in her case she gets a free pass for all her gaffs

She has a degree in economics and international relations from Boston University.  Worthless degree?

Getting a Degree means you can do enough to get a Degree.

Some of the most stupid people I know have letters up their backside and vice versa.

Completely agree, I also know many folks that fit into that category.  However, you would think an economics and international relations degree would cover even a smidgen of governmental structure.

seems like the perfect democrat.  she probably wants to do away with the electoral college too because they refused her application.

Don’t forget the Senate, we don’t need that branch either.
