If it was I wouldn't be questioning

It is literally spelled out for you:

Copy of the Birth certificate (front and back) for the US Citizen or a copy of ALL pages of the US Citizen's passport issued with a validity of at least 5 years or a copy of the US Citizen's naturalization certificate (front and back). This is used to establish citizenship.

As someone who has already completed the K1 process and is doing AOS now, I would advise people going through K1 to complete ALL the steps to save time and heartache IF they were to get an RFE

Old instructions.   This was eliminated 18 months ago.   As someone who has already completed the process through citizenship I would advise people to stay current as the process changes periodically

YMMV

And I've completed the K1 this year, not a few years ago. Hun, it takes two seconds to print out the back of the birth certificate. It certainly doesn't hurt to have it just in case whether it's "old news" or not. It's was said that the London embassy only looks at the joint sponsor I-134 and I was advised by MULTIPLE people (people like you claiming "I completed xxx this year") on here to only have my fiance bring the joint sponsor I-134 and it was a waste of my time to fill out my own. Lo and and behold, my fiance had grumpy guy on duty who demanded to see my (petitioner) I-134 and he and one other guy were the only one asked throughout the entire day for the petitioner's I-134. So yeah--better safe than sorry.

OP, I'd advise you to print out both sides because it doesn't hurt anyone to have both.

It doesn't help either.   Its good that you posted a thread dated right before the updated instructions.   I have an approved petition post update so I know what is currently required

You're going in circles hun. It still doesn't bloody hurt anyone to print out the back regardless of what you think. Good for you. Congrats on NOA 2, it's a great feeling. You still got a long way to go. Having the back of the birth certificate won't deny them. What is your point?  Don't do it because you want to be right and don't want people to take the two seconds out of their lives to be cautious? Lol

I got through the K1 visa with no RFE and my fiance (now husband) is here despite your claim of "the back of the birth certificate has been outdated for 18 months now." I didn't cry printing out the back of my birth certificate because it didn't hurt me.

lets just face facts - they can ASK for things that arent REQUIRED.

it takes 2 seconds to photo copy a blank page and put a sticky note on it that says ' back of birth certificate for (name)

as i said earlier this morning, its not my petition. i dont care if others are approved or not. But this is so easy to include, its stupid.

My issue is when people say REQUIRED when it is not or no longer.   The g325a was also required but it is no longer post update.  Of course you can include anything you want but don't perpetuate the myth under the guise of a requirement

YMMV

Nonsense.   Everything they as for is required to approve a petition.   Some areas are a little more subjective such as proof of meeting but it is all needed to get the petition approved

For what it's worth, my fiancé speaks limited English and I sent the following letter.  I explained to him what it said and we both signed it.  I also sent a photocopy of only the front of my birth certificate, and photocopies of the bio page of my passport and pages with relevant exit/entry stamps only, not every page.  We didn't get an RFE for any of these things.

Exactly,  however,  accordingly we must have gotten our petitions approved in error because we didn't send in all of the required information.   We better send back our approval notices and request we be sent RFEs

YMMV

The instructions say statements (plural) (nothing requiring them from to be on separate documents) that are signed, which would be different than a single statement with just two signatures.  I think the example provided in the previous post technically meets the requirement based on the separate statements right above each of the signatures, had they not done that, the result may have been different.

Intention to Marry Within 90 Days of Entry. Submit evidence that you and your fiancé(e) intend to marry within 90 days of your fiancé(e)’s entry as a K-1 nonimmigrant. Evidence of your intention to marry may include statements of intent to marry signed by both you and your fiancé(e) or any other evidence that establishes, by a preponderance of the evidence, your mutual intention;

YMMV
