Cruz 100 Carey 0

This is hilarious. Cruz owns Carey in this comment

Go Beto! Go Democrats! Vote like there’s no tomorrow. Let’s make this Tuesday like the end of every great vampire movie. Pull back the curtains and let the sunshine turn all those bloodsuckers to dust.

Hollywood liberals all in for Beto. But (self-described socialist) Jim Carrey made a mistake here: Vampires are dead, and everyone knows the dead vote Democrat....

Beto continues to talk platitudes, and Cruz keeps hammering him on substantive issues.

Beto (and indeed most or all of these Democrats) couldn't possibly be elected if they were open about what they really believed or planned.

In other news, Mrs. T-B. intends to vote, but without a clue about any of the candidates or issues. :bonk:

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I gave Katya a sample ballot a few weeks ago and she spent a lot of time researching the main offices and the proposals, not so much on the University Boards.

No worries, that describes about 75% of US voters.  They vote for the person they recognize from commercials, a person who is good-looking/charming/etc, or simple the first one on top of the page.

O'Rourke did very well. To get within three points of the Republican candidate is impressive.

Yes -- and, as a network observer put it, about 4 or 5 percentage points higher than Cruz's last opponent, who had invested only $700,000 in that race!

First place loser?  It’s always great to have a goal!

And, as stated in the other thread, "he did not say that he would not run for President."

Just wait.  Way too many Californians moving to TX these days...

And Yankees too

But it will not make Texas Blue, not any time soon.

Just look at the race for governor,  Greg Abbott destroyed the Lupe Valdez.  She is the poster child for a liberal.  A lesbian, who while serving as Dallas Sheriff was pro illegal alien, until Trump Admin/Texas Governor told her it was follow the rules or maybe you will be arrested

I have been in Philippines for one month, just got back Sunday night.   I didn't follow politics while I was gone,  Beto signs were up all over the place, I will give him and his campaign credit for what they did, they spent a lot of money trying to win and it appears as if they got close.

I see that as a fluke and don't see Texas going red anytime in the near future.

I did notice gas was only $2.11 when I got home, seems like it was closer to $2.38 when I left, that was nice to see.
