Okay, I believe I misread OP's post and assumed he was still in the military.

 

I think the reason you can use is severe financial loss. However, each expedite request will be treated for its own reason and it's on you to provide proof there is such a reason (severe financial loss).

 

For us, we just asked my spouse's commander to write a memo. It was 2 months out til his DEROS and nothing was happening with our application. The military will have to move me separately (costing money) & it can potentially affect his ability to deploy.

 

I'm not sure what exactly you will need to prove financial loss

Not really because they have varying degrees for PTSD being rated: 30,50,70, and 100. Which I am at 70% for PTSD alone from the VA.

Just wanted to mention, since twice in this thread you've said you "cannot enter the US"....

 

If there is a separate reason why you're inadmissible to the USA, you'll have to take care of this as well----you don't have to give details if you don't want to----just wanted to mention this as some people think a K1 or CR1 will automatically void any inadmissibility.

Oh yes, I know I mentioned that. I am currently working on it, it was an issue with the government/DHS which I am fighting against to gain admissibility. I know We have a long road ahead.. just wanting to see if our reason to expedite is feasible.

Best of luck on your expedite, but please consider a plan b in case it's not approved and you want to get together/support him.

 

 

We have considered.. And when i saw poorest city.. these people just have a lower economy. It is a border city. 

We have explored the option and thought of moving here but we do not want that. 

So we will work at what we need to in order to return to the US

We requested an expedite for my CR-1 due to this reason:

Huh? Are you serious?   A delay in your cases harms the US GOVERNMENT ?

Yes. We got an interview and I received a CR-1. This was in 2013.

It’s been a while, but I think what the commander back then wrote was that me not getting the visa impacts my spouse’s ability to deploy. And they deploy a lot. My spouse would have thrived okay on his own. So, I don’t particularly understand why it would affect his ability to deploy. But I was a new spouse to a military member back then, so maybe that’s why I didn’t understand.

 

We were living overseas (not my country of origin) so my stay there was contingent on his presence there (SOFA status). If I had not gotten approved for a visa before my spouse had to fly to the CONUS assignment, I would have had to fly back home and wait out the visa process there, which I know a lot of people here had done or are doing.

 

Thinking about it now, I don’t know exactly why it was approved. I just remember what the commander’s memo said. And I'm glad it worked!

No, they just said that it was denied and that I'll have to go alone to the interview. I was so upset.
