Hi Everyone,

I did not received my original NOA, but after I followed up with USCIS customer service, Vermont send a duplicate NOA. The document says it's not the original but the duplicate, but my status has been extended for 18 months. Do you think it's still fine to travel with this duplicate copy? Or should I get my passport stamped?

Did anyone send i751 to Texas service Centre and received 18 months extension letter how long does it take for them to send 18 months extension letter

I sent mine there - got notification online on the 5th of November but nothing since then - no NOA1 or biometric appointment letter in the mail. I raised the e service for non delivery on the 7th this month and I plan to call uscis tomorrow.

So is NOA1 letter necessary before Bio-metrics since Bio-metrics mentions the case number? What is the timeline process here?

Thanks

rooj

Not necessary. My husband had his biometrics appointment today, still no NOA1.

Hey friends, here is my update. My husband has his biometrics appointment today (in Syracuse, NY). His petition is at VSC.

They allowed me to go into the office with him and since we were the only people there besides the security guard and two officers (weird...I know), I was able to ask the officer that took my husband's fingerprints a few questions. I told him that we had never received the NOA1 and he said he is CERTAIN that there is a delay in sending them and a huge backlog...he didn't blame the post office and was not surprised to hear we had received nothing yet. He said that many, many people that he has seen have been saying recently that they have not received their NOA1s yet.

The only advice he gave was to call the 800 number and let them know or to make an InfoPass appointment and have my husband get his passport stamped (I didn't ask if we could just do that right then and there because my husband still has about a month and a half left of  green card validity, and we are actually sending his passport out tomorrow to be renewed).

Moral of the story...call them once 30 days have passed and try to feel better about the fact that we are all still in the same, dysfunctional boat here. Hang in there, guys!

I've seen a number of success reports from people using the online form to report notice of non-delivery.  Might save the hassle and random answers of calling in.

Thanks

I have another question and not sure if anyone can help but in the past when I was filling for my husband's condition removal, someone told me to use my permanent address because at that time we still were there. however we moved in August and then I had the baby in september and we filled out the i-751 form and used our permanent address (which is my parent's place) and our mailing address as well. We didn't include our new apartment and lease agreement like I should have as I am finding out now. I am not sure what do because someone here told me that it was okay to use our permanent address rather than new address that we moved into. has anyone been my situation before or know of someone who was and what they did?

anything would help.

thanks in advance

rooj

Address is a required factor by USCIS, that's why they always advise to make amendment if one address is changed. I will advise you update your new address to USCIS, that would be a better idea.

More than one month since they cashed check. Last Friday had biometrics appointment. Just spoke with uscis representative. They didn’t answer me about NOA1. Lady recommended to wait two more weeks for a  letter or to make an appointment with local office ang get passport stamped. Do somebody knows if I can get my passport stamped after GC expires???

Be on the safer side, do try to get infopass and get your passport stamped within 30 days of your GC expiration. In other words, don't allow your GC to be expired before you go for the passport stamp. Just an advise please...

I will go get my passport stamped in such situation...goodluck
