Hey everyone!! Hope youre all doing well!!

 

I just checked my case and it changed from "case receieved" to "name was updated."

No other information!!

And I havent sent them anything since sending my original package 

 

Just wondering what this could mean

Can't say anything for sure except that someone looked at your case and updated the name record. When it was still possible and worthwhile to do automated scans based on the 'old' site (so back in late 2017/very early 2018), one the people who'd run it for a few months thought that 'Name Updated' usually led to an approval the next day, but I don't know if that's still the case.

Yeah thats what im seeing. But idk..an august filer got name update but never received anything..i believe she is still waiting.. however when this happened b4..the petitioner called ...and they said 4 some reason the system never sent out the approval notice...(im not sure if the error was due to the name update) but yes..u should have an approval tomorrow...if what others said in the past is indeed true and current!

Keep us updated if you get an approval.in the next day or so..apparently they have to update the beneficiary's name to match passport for NOA2...i know with my fiance...his middle name.is not on NOA1..so i expect to be getting "name update" as well...congrats!

They skip my middle name in our NOA1 too, but as @Greenbaum said as long as you fill the i-129f with correct name it should be fine then we leave it just like that. now we got the NOA2 with my fullname on it

Checked informed delivery today and there was NOA2! APPROVAL BABY! WOOOOO :D (I think, looks NOA2 to me but there's always that anxiety it isn't until we can actually see the words APPROVED :D )
