Jeez I wish I had a nickel for every time that question has been asked the past week. :D

We have seen that sometimes they will renew a form that expires and we have seen it continue to be used until such time as a new form is release. In any event, they will most likely use the start date of the new rendition of that form and they will tell you when they will discontinue a form. All updates to forms can be tracked here: https://www.uscis.gov/forms-updates  If you see a form that will soon expire and it may expire after it's intended use (Embassy interview) then it's best to wait till you are closer to your interview.

All previous editions are accepted anyway. The OMB (Office of Management and Budget) expiration date only matters internally for the USCIS. That expiration date has nothing to do with whether or not it will be acceptable for you to use. The edition date is what matters. The accepted edition dates for the forms are listed on the site where the forms can be found and downloaded. The I-134 states this. > https://www.uscis.gov/i-134

Perfect..👌👌👌 Thanks @Greenbaum

I do.

I've read that the USEM allows you to book your interview before they receive the packet 3, so if your ready to go why not ? The embassy in Bangkok make us wait till they get the packet 3 and pay for everything...

Here is some information including the Embassy P3 for you to get a head start

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jdCPXg9_vLnAfKJZ5gfPMW4-ST0RbRUh/view?usp=sharing

https://vn.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/required-documents/

Usually you will not receive the P3 letter in the mail. Do an online service request. They will respond typically in 2 -3 days with the instruction (P3). You will need to submit D-160 and pay the visa fee, then schedule the medical afterward. Technically, you will need the P3 to complete the medical exam, although some have gotten by with just the interview confirmation. I wouldn't risk it and would just request that they email it to you via: https://vn.usembassy...a-inquiry-form/  When using the form be sure to add in the comments section the last 4 digits of your SSN or they will email you back asking for it which causes further delays.

Mr. Greenbaum, now that I have the case number, can I go a head and request the P3 or do I need to fill out, submit and pay the fee for DS-160 then request P3? Is the P3 contingent on the DS 160orjust receiving the case number and invoice number from NVC

Did you take the time to read the links I gave you on what you need and need to do for your embassy? You have to do some of the heavy lifting.

Guys, it's time to move over to the sub forum to ask you questions. How is someone from Germany, Norway or Vietnam going to know what needs to be done in the Philippines.  http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

In the Philippines you can do everything up to the interview at which time the case needs to be set to a "ready" condition in order for you to execute the interview. So if you have your case number then when you go to schedule your appointment, select a date that is 4-5 weeks out which gives the Embassy plenty of time to receive your case from NVC. Prior to your interview date check CEAC to insure it is set to ready. If it is then attend the interview if it isn't then cancel the interview appointment and reschedule a week to weeks out OR cancel and do nothing till the case status is set to "ready".

Here are the steps for the PI

1st) - pay the visa fee, this can be done as soon as you get your MNL #. 2nd)  With the CEAC status page showing the MNL# , you could potentially complete the medical before scheduling the interview ( Still >> SLEC does have the Interview Confirmation page on their list), if you want to push things & this would be a good time to get CFO out of the way.  3rd)  Schedule the interview, print out copies of the confirmation page - 1 copy for the embassy and I think SLEC wants 2 copies.  4th)  Attend the interview.

Your mileage may vary.

Hi

Maybe wrong area, but I am not sure how to navigate the site... my apologies.

While waiting for our NVC case number for the K1 visa, I have a question about form I-134 I am filling out as her sponsor.

#10 asks for the USCIS Online Account Number.

Is this the same thing as our USCIS Case Number?

Do I need this, or is putting my SSN good enough?

Thanks for any help.
