@Greek,

the VJ average timeline based on experience of people who have updated their case on VJ.

Hello fellow Detroit officers! My partner came over on a K1 visa and we filed for AOS, EAD, and AP in December. His biometrics appointment was last week.

Is the next step simply waiting for a letter that our AOS interview has been scheduled? Which seems to be 5ish months for Detroit?

Will the EAD/AP be granted prior to the AOS interview or just depends on how fast they process?

@KYICGM,

use your ZIP Code to locate the U.S. field office

https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices

so you get a Green Card without the interview process?

Joining here with you all is from Jackson, Michigan.. We sent our AOS packet last Feb. 14, 2019 and I bet Detroit will be our Field Office too. 🤔🤔🤔

Hello Everyone,

So filed office you can find online on USCIS by putting in your zip code. Then it will show you where you will be assigned. If you are in Michigan good news then your field office is Detroit. Also your filed office is where you bio-metrics where done. Now for the EAD no one knows other say they never get it and go straight to the interview. Others get in in 4-6 months. It all really depends.

Just now, Greek said:

From my understanding your filed office is Detroit which is a bummer a friend in Cleveland got his interview in 3 months.

I thought so too which is better since Detroit is closer. I called a week ago and the lady on the phone also told me my field office was Cleveland. Im hoping is Detroit 🤞
