Got a notice from Chicago's lockbox that the I 485 package is rejected due to outdated used form. Huh ? I loaded the latest form from USCIS with expiration date of 06/2019

How do I go form here?

Anyone had same nightmare?

One or more of the forms you used is outdated. Check everything and submit everything all over again. Nothing else you can do honestly.

Nope all are current. I double checked before sending.  Seems more someone is new at their job, or don't care much

Ah that’s probably it then. It will say the new date at the bottom too. Just download the files again from USCIS and send it again. It’s a pain but that’s uscis.

Don't go by the dates on the forms, just make sure you send the form that is on the USCIS website the same day you send your package. The version that is on the website the same day you send your package is always the latest one, always the one you should use, no matter what the dates on it says.

What about the i-765 ? they have a new edition now 🤷🏻‍♀️

I 765 wasnt the issue. The work permit form and travel document were not accepeted as they were tied to I485 that was rejected. it s like a package of sorts where I 485 is the parent

I am seeing the same exact problem, as I downloaded the form to start filling it out

The bottom of the form has 2017 as a date...where the top portion of the form has 2019. hmmmm

Yep. Gotta love how simple the immigration process is.

I will just send that one with OMB expiration of 06/2019 and bottom left of 12/2017

For the 485,  12/13/17 is the right version,

For the 131, 12/23/16 is the right version,

For the 765, "05/31/18. Starting 09/17/2018, we will only accept the 05/31/18 edition. Until then, you can use the 07/17/17 edition. You can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the form and instructions."

what else did you have?

Lower left corner is edition dated, which is what USCIS uses.

Upper right corner is OMB expiration date for public comment, which will be different than the edition date.

Huh.... my 601a just got rejected on 9/11 from the Chicago lockbox due to "signature required" even though my husband, the applicant, DID sign the petition.  . . wonder if it's the same agent that rejected your package... I wish these people would be more careful!
