Thank you for your response! I've been reading a lot of posts on VJ and most of them confirm that you do not need a letter from the bank as long as you are above the poverty line based on your employment letter and IRS Transcrips and the following should definitely be enough as per those posts:

1) Online Bank Statement for the last 3 months
2) IRS Tax Transcripts for the last 3 years
3) W-2 for the last 3 years
4) Letter from the Employer
5) Pay Stubs from the last 3 months

However, those posts are not that recent there I would be relieved if someone here can confirm?

I'm just trying to avoid the bank letter because I've heard the bank (Chase, in my fiancee's case) trouble a lot to give such documents. Can anyone share their experience on this?

Thank you, EVERYONE, in advance :)

Yes I am hoping to avoid the letter from the bank also...interested to hear what others have had for experiences

I printed one year of monthly bank statements for my AOS which of course is different then the interview. But at the interview I wasn't asked for any financials because I was able to prove my income was above the poverty line with Employment letters and SS verification letter.

If you try the monthly bank statements and they want "The Letter" then you'll get an 221(g) and you will have time to secure the letter from your bank and once received by the Embassy your case will finish the adjudication process. Not a problem and doesn't affect your visa approval.

Hey, just wondering if anyone who has had their interview at the LONDON embassy has received their passport back yet? It seems that everyone i'm talking to who has been approved in November hasn't received their passport.

I know it says 7-10 working days for us to receive it, I also know that they were closed on Monday for Veterans day, but just thought i'd ask the question?

Thanks for letting me know. There doesn't seem to be a problem with people being approved in October, It's November where there seems to be a problem, but thanks anyway.

hi guys,

I had my interview today and got approved!! Just wanted to say thank you for the tons of information and help, it’s a truly great community!

One last question though, does anyone know why/if the Ceac tracker is down? It takes forever to load now and I can’t check my status at all.

Nope. USCIS, NVC and your DR Embassy doesn't care as long as you are on US Soil before your visa expires.

Possibly there are two issues here, the website is overloaded and or your case has not been updated. Usually with in 24 hours you can see your status.

When the Embassy is ready to issue a visa, it will change to "Nonimmigrant Visa Application"; at that time, you will know that you are a few days away from getting the visa. It will go from "Immigrant Visa Application" to "Nonimmigrant Visa Application" status and then your visa changes to "Ready" ==> "Administrative Processing" ==>> "Issued" status as well. These steps sometimes transpire over a day or even a few days. Some smaller Embassy's it happens within hours.

Sometimes, it might skip "Administrative Processing" and go from "Ready" to "Issued".
